Lynn progressed to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and a trip to Leek Town after another close match against Alfreton which resulted in a deserved victory.
Alfreton went into the game unchanged from the side that on Saturday with just the addition of Josh Wilde on the bench.
Lynn made four changes with Nathan Fox, Jordan Richards and Michael Clunan dropping to the bench whilst Michael Gash was out injured.
Replacing them was San Kelly, Aaron Jones, Ryan Jarvis and Alfie Payne.
In a goalless first half the teams once again cancelled each other out with one clear cut goal scoring chance each.
Amari Morgan-Smith, roundly booed by the home faithful, forced Alex Street into a smart save at the expense of a corner on ten minutes and soon after Bobby Johnson tested Street with a free kick.
Both sides attacked but both were lacking in the final third and Lynn guilty of losing possession too easily.
Just after the half hour mark Sonny Carey got on the end of a fine move from Adam Marriott but fired high and wide.
Charlie Andrew in the visitors goal made his first serious save on 41 minutes going full stretch to deny Payne.
The Reds took the lead on 51 minutes when Shane Killock was allowed far too much room when a ball came in from Josh Clackstone on the left to head home at the far post.
Lynn were level six minutes later when Marriott got on the end of a loose ball to smash home.
Alfreton had a chance to equalise almost immediately by Johnson’s curling effort from outside the box was saved by Street.
Lynn took the lead on 77 minutes a neat back heal to substitute Fox who scores despite Andrew getting his hands to the ball.
Chances came and went at both ends with late pressure from the visitors reaping nothing but the consolation of the £2,250 losers "prize" money.
