Lynn had little trouble in recording their first Boxing Day victory in seven attempts, inflicting the Trawler Boys' heaviest league defeat of the season.
Lowestoft, hit by injuries and suspension, got off the worst possible start as Lynn went ahead on five minutes through Adam Marriott with a well-worked goal involving some five players before reaching Jordan Richards whose ball eventually found Adam Marriott in space who found the back of the net through a crowded box from eight yards.
Four minutes later Lynn went to up. Michael Gash dummied to setting up Marriott for his second.
Rossi Jarvis hooked the ball away from Marriott to prevent an early hat-trick for the in-form striker and Lowestoft tried to reply.
Armani Schaar tried his luck but a combination of the upright and Alex Street saw his shot go for a corner.
On 17 minutes a soft penalty was awarded after
Ryan Jarvis was adjudged to have fouled Kieran Higgs and this resulted in a soft spot kick from Shaun Bammant that was saved by Street so that justice was done.
Lowestoft tried with opting to shoot when other choices were available and Bammant had the ball in the net but the effort was disallowed for an offside in the build-up.
Lynn continued to dominate possession after the restart but had to wait until the 68th minute to score although by that time there was little doubt about the destination of the league points.
A Michael Clunan corner was headed home by the unmarked Michael Gash who thoroughly deserved to have his name on the scoresheet.
Three minutes later Marriott completed his hat-trick when the ball fell kindly to him with the Lowestoft defence looking tired and well beaten,
Forner Linnet Adam Smith put a free kick straight at Lynn 'keeper in what was one of their few chances at a consolation whilst substitute Ryan Hawkins saw his shot tipped wide by visiting 'keeper Elvis Putnins.
