EDP 1hr ago states that Cleeve is to stay in charge after securing deal to keep club afloat for next season.
Just read the story. Still more unanswered questions. Does this mean a U-turn on Adam Lakeland? What a way to run a football club! The saga goes on...
Lakeland u turn, my thoughts exactly.
If Cleeve remains it will just be a stay of execution. What a shambles.
Perhaps he needs persuading, like John Dollimore.
Of course the phone between Cleeve and Lakeland will be red hot this arvo. Begging the best Manager in the League to return. Then of course how can Bal stay and work with a guy who he wanted out of the club. Would leave his position untenable surely ?
I thought Jo/Bal said just last week they wouldnt work with Cleeve.
What a Soap Opera this is. 😉. Has the deal with new investor actually been signed off on or is this the latest Cleeve 'big idea'

Norwich Paper saying something along lines of unlikely the Trust will now be involved if Cleeve stays, but yes, I'm sure that Bal and Jo said the same thing a few weeks ago.
I'm lost on what sort of control TSI have over the Club or Cleeve. When Lakeland was sacked it was Cleeve that sacked him but it's now being said that he was made to do it by TSI. :dontknow: How can a majority shareholder be forced into doing something he is against doing, unless these people are Persons with Significant Control (PSC) which apparently Bal/Jo/TSI do not have.
If that is the case, has this control now disappeared? How can TSI exert this kind of control but then apparently have their hand forced when it comes to new money being put into the Club? Or maybe the new deal hinges around TSI being given some of their money back. If so, that shows where their first priority really is.
What exactly is the agreement between TSI and Club/Cleeve? I believe its obvious that it all hinges around the quoted figure of 700k.
Having said that, I can't find any notice of any charge in relation to the 700k against either the Club or Blue and Gold Holdings, and I would be really surprised if Cleeve has given a personal guarantee.
Anybody have any ideas?

As the song goes ' there are more questions than answers'.
I think you will find the threat of not taking over the club or putting money in to pay the bills may have had a hand in the forcing of SC hand to sign the paperwork sacking AL...

Apparently TSI haven't been doing that for a while now.

Exactly my point... turning the tap off to get what they want springs to mind.. Similar with the hand forcing when trying to get James Rowe appointed
I could write a long post about my thoughts and feelings but I'm just too disillusioned at this point to even bother.
I don't know where this club is going, the way its run is a joke, and with a deal seemingly almost complete Cleeve comes in and kamikaze's it and says "Thanks but I've found some money in the biscuit tin and all is well now". Others may wish to breathe a sigh of relief but I for one will continue to be fearful about this club's long-term future.
This club means a lot to me as I'm sure it does to many others but I hate what is being done to it. Oh well, we'll see what next season has in store :dontknow:
who's going to be coach/manager now :dontknow:

The tap has to be turned off. It was said Cleeve had gone over the agreed budget what was to stop him spending even more of someone else's money ?
Maybe when Cleeve gets some of this money he will pay for the dressing room refurbishment which was done at the start of last season
Allegedly IF the grant to repair the stand floor ever materialises he has said he will pay that account.
All should be well.
He is a man of his word after all. :shark:
Are there a few unpaid invoices floating around ? It seemed the Club wasn't the quickest of payers but surely not stuff that is 12 months over due ?
In his head he has already sold 2000 season tickets and has an amazing F.A Cup run in the bag plus another 700k from his Singapore investment buddies who just love throwing money into his hobby and never want anything in return.

Fools and their money springs to mind!
Whatever sort of business people would allow this to happen is beyond me!
Have to think it must be very easy to earn lots of money in Singapore.
:dontknow:
Was it not SC who thought the Fit & Proper Owners test was lacking & should look at the motives for owning a club, not just the bank balance of the owner. It's a Fair Game.

Ken
What's the connection between paying for changing room refurbishment and obtaining a grant for the stand floor (yet more taxpayers money no doubt)?
Any idea why a local Tradesman should be made to wait for payment depending on the outcome of yet another grant application?
:dontknow:
B and G, there is no connection, other than in his mind.
Its just another example of robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Don't think anyone gets robbed Kenny. Then again it also appears people don't get paid.
Be interesting to see if the new people Ckeeve has got involved will be taking equity in the Club or will be in the form of yet another loan ? Or it could be a sponsorship deal. All will be revealed. Hopefully.
Who remembers Gibraltor or Concerts at the Walks with AC/DC or any of the various things that were destined to turn the Clubs fortunes around.
On the morning of the Scunthorpe game the Club had to go cap in hand to the Lord Napier to " borrow three barrels of beer " as I presume there was insufficient at the ground for the seasons biggest crowd. Club on stop ?
Now I'm not often lost for words.........but this farce playing out around our beloved club would never be believed as a storyline in a soap 😏 And that's saying something.
It's just a lot of static making no sense at all 🤫
I grasp at one straw only to see it disappear in my hand. When the next straw comes towards me I try to get a better grip, but without success.
I have little hope left in Cleeve and his alternate universe and have come to the realisation that he believes everything he says to be true.
It's the only logical conclusion I can come to.
The almost deal between TSI etc. and the Trust gave me the hope of a new beginning. And now I don't know what to think.
There's unlikely to be anyone else out there who's prepared to put in the time and money that Jo has put in. Especially if that money has been squandered and probably lost.
Once again I fear for our club 😔

I hope they asked for cash in hand before parting with the barrels.
What a mess, another year to come with supporters uncertain of the future of the club.
Will the dark reaper finally come at the end of next season?
KLTFC must be getting a poor reputation and becoming a poisoned chalice for employing and treating staff.
Will Cleeve ever run out of backers? Will the club fold to rise again as a Phoenix club?
Are there any fans who actually want Mr Cleeve still at the club. If not, then why not just boycott all games and let him get in with it. Action speaks louder than words as they say.
This forum only represents a small percentage of Lynn fans, but if the views on here are more widespread, why would SC hang around, assuming that he is aware of the general feeling towards him.

This forum doesn't represent the supporters, a small proportion or otherwise.
It just allows supporters to post their views and opinions etc to fellow supporters.

I think you will find many loyal LINNETS have already been boycotting matches. People who used to attend all matches either cherry pick fixtures to attend now or indeed do not attend at all. The attendance figures backs this up.
I wonder if it will be this week when the announcement is made of Cleeve's new investor ? Or are there still i's to dot and T's to cross. Could this be the one that finally puts Kings Lynn on the map ?
Let's hope it's not subject to due diligence
If it was that easy to get new investment then why was the manager sacked and why has half the squad left including the captain. Its time that Cleeve was held to account once and for all.Nobody in their right mind would invest in a season ticket now.
