Mal great to see you have come onboard with such a positive post about the team and by default the manager rather than the rather depressing posts ( and unfounded ) regarding managerial appointments and worry beads. We have now reached the ten games point by which I said that judgements could start to be made regarding the squad and manager. So 16 points averaging 1.6 points per game and without adding any pressure over the season would probably mean a play off spot. Its virtually a new team from last season working with a relatively new manager so they needed time which is a luxury fans don't like to accept. Criticise by all means but only after you've given a fair chance.

General Discussion / Re: This Board - Lack Of Activity
September 11, 2026, 04:10:20 PM
Thanks Andy that in one post sums up what has happened to this forum, people who disagreed with the two posters in question were through various methods discouraged from posting and eventually lost interest. The poster who has now switched to Facebook apparently blocks anybody who disagrees with his opinion so nothing has changed. Question everything but only if the answer suits. Would love to know their agenda but it certainly doesn't look like its hoping the Club are successful. Every Club deals with the same supporter issues with results and finance but people who only look on the negative have no understanding of running a football Club and rather than assist they criticise. Easy way out.

Mal you must have less to post these days as according to your history you have averaged 2 posts a day whilst a forum member, whilst your old friend B and G also averaged 2 posts a day. I think its less censorship than you suggest rather the inability to post often spurious and unfounded posts without moderation. Maybe forums have had their day but they certainly should be for all fans to discuss all matters Club rather than a few who seem to have  a complete other agenda.

What a result at Brackley last night. After only two league games prior to this match somebody on the supporters facebook page was doing their best to write off the team and the manager. How ridiculous can you be and I notice that the well quoted phrase of not judging a team until after 10 league games was also scoffed at. I,m sure he must have extensive knowledge of football and a good judge of young players gained from hours of watching games at this level to draw such conclusions especially after only two league games. I on the other hand am prepared to be more patient and hope the manager knows what he's doing and the players perform and we will see after 10 games where we are.

Hi Mal its been 7 days since your ' worry beads ' post what do you think of the two signings since then and what would your take be on how the squad is shaping up ?

My impression so far is that Caddis is building the squad he wants and not do a ' supermarket sweep ' with any player that becomes available of which there are plenty even at this stage of the new season. Perhaps you mean us fans should get some worry beads after the Chester game last season. Don't think there is much to worry about now lets trust in Caddis and see how it goes rather than predict a negative outcome.

General Discussion / Refurbished Club bar
June 18, 2026, 06:12:17 PM
I hear that there was a great atmosphere in the bar at the Club last night for the first England world cup group game. 60/70 people attended and everyone was impressed with the new TVs and the work that has been done to date. Congratulations to the Club and don't forget next game for England is next Tuesday 21st so support both the Club and England by getting down to the Walks.

And a big thanks to you Kev for organising the working party and all the work you put in. Without volunteers and people who care about the Club there would be no Club.

I see on other social media platforms our ex owner is still an avid reader of this forum. He has posted the following ( Interesting that the Trusts website has chosen to review a small quiz book littered with    mistakes, no mention of mine. I wanted to say " surprising " but I dont think that it is. I thought they were going to engage more with fans when they came on board ?) So the Trust are now being criticized for not promoting a book it knew nothing about until last Friday and if it had it would have been engaging more with fans. The narcissism is beyond belief but not " surprising " how many fans forums were held over the last 8 years for you to engage with fans and listen to their concerns ?

The more interesting question is who revealed this information to the worlds media via a press release from an unnamed email address and by email to the league. Like Culverhouse said at the time there is a malevolent force working against the club almost wanting the current owners to fail. This is not the only example of this force at work there is a steady stream of negative and not fully informed posts on this forum and facebook. The people making these posts are obviously of a like mind and are attempting to disillusion the greater fanbase. What the posters should be asking is why are they being given this information do they not see they are being used or do they not care about the welfare of the Club. And Mal we are not shocked by your ' higher up the food chain' comment and know exactly where your information comes from and the chain of people involved. Well down you must be delighted at the £10000 fine the Club have received.

General Discussion / Re: bal

Interesting point of view and difficult to know what you mean by wasted. Investing in the Club by means of purchasing shares and becoming part owners is what a Trust is all about and after 15 years this has been the first opportunity to achieve that aim. If you mean wasted because it has been largely a disappointing season on field then the Trust view would presumably be that they are there for the long term. I would think Trust membership would be perfect for you as you could express your views to the Trust directors and get answers as other members do.

Peter my understanding is that any news from the Trust goes to members first so if you aren't a member and interested in what the Trust have to say maybe you should become a member. With regard to the Cleeve debate I'm sure he is still very interested in the Club but unless he's got a substantial amount of money he won't be returning. The DCMS loan is still around the 400k mark and going back as far as December 2023 he admitted to fans he did not have enough money for the Club to see out that season and needed to find an investor. So Cleeve brought TSI into the Club and they have basically funded the Club since. So the question is what do you think Cleeve can do ? buy out TSI and then what ?

General Discussion / Re: Next season

As fans all we can do at the moment is get behind the team on Saturday by turning out in numbers and making the lads hear our support. No point speculating on next season until this one is done. Pointing fingers at this stage will only have the opposite effect to what is needed.
Oh and by the way Mal would rather be the puppet master than the marionette how' s your old sparing partner these days long time no hear unless of course your posts represent information supplied.

Yes agree that if we stay up some interesting conversations to be had and decisions to be made. I know from previous posts you were a fan of Culverhouse so do you think Bal was right to offload him for Caddis ? During ICs time in charge he managed an average of 1 point per game and Caddis is currently 1.33 points per game.
I cant imagine that managers were lining up to take on a team in a relegation scrap so fair play to Caddis to stand up and give it a go. Lets hope he gets us over the line.

Yes Carly could not agree more under Caddis 4 games played and 7 points averaging 1.75 points per game the last team in a playoff spot have averaged 1.69 points per game. If we can continue that this season nothing to worry about and start dreaming for next season.
