Question everything!

Tennylad

I liked Heggs, he had a bit about him . Signed some good players and played on the front foot . If we had an ex manager return, he would be ok with me .

Interesting!  He really DID form an attacking team!  And he speaks English instead of mere cliches like for example "Character", "Winning fouls" or "that holding role".  He's not even after a contract, so we would have nothing to lose, at least until the end of this season.  Both he and the club would then know whether to extend....and there would be plenty of goals to cheer in the meantime....

Mallard

They sure were interesting times under Heggs and who could forget his ladderless window cleaners back 5. We were a big physical team.  Heggs even had to play the odd game up front. Gave everything then couldn't walk for a week.

Can't see this is really a serious option but interesting none the less.

Really think we will get some decent quality applicants for the job with the squad that Rowe put together.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

I think it would be very difficult to appoint Heggs over Joe.

Why would they?

Mick

As I recall he had connections with Leicester City and brought a few youth team players in on loan. A good few on the players he signed went on to have very decent careers. The bloke was a great character too.

Mallard

All gone very quiet on the new Manager front.   Is this a sign they giving Joe the chance to prove himself over say 2/3 games ?

Maybe more Bal is giving plenty of thought and spending a lot of time on due diligence before naming the new person.  He won't want to make anymore massive mistakes with this appointment after the disaster Rowe turned out to be.

No risk this time please Bal. Tried and tested has to be the way forward.

I would guess so and if that is the case, probably the best option.
