I think lots will argue about it.It don’t do it for me.I’m surprised the new CEO is coming out with same old spiel rather than something refreshingly new.If he wants people back at the Walks and really want it to be a community club he needs to do better than this.Unless you are prepared to stand I think it’s the same price as Peterborough.Having said that we mustn’t forget that £1 of entrance fee is being ring fenced to pay the half million loan back.

Is that still happening?

In the current climate and to help people out wonder if they could do a monthly plan? It’s all depend how you value your footy people will argue still to much and then go and buy a pint for a fiver and  a kebab for a tenner and let’s be honest ain’t many attractions that are cheap nowadays for a paying adult …  Hope Tommy can put a attractive winning side to get punters through the turnstiles

I don't think you can use the cost of a season ticket as a good yardstick. These will obviously be mainly sold to the die hard supporters.

The new Supporters and the ones they are trying to get back,  will mainly be buying on a match by match basis, and thats where the pricing will be more fairly judged.

If it’s a winning side then people will pay the money every game.  Mid table will be more a pick the top games.  Bottom 6 struggles, don’t bare thinking about.

You can never make it cheap enough for a lot of fans, but if it’s a top game or a promotion push then they find the money.  Hasn’t it always been so ?

For those of us who have to travel it’s not all about the admission price there are other issues to factor in ( petrol at 1.70 a litre is one).   I can walk to Skinners Lane and pay just over £7 for step 4 Football.  So Lynn for next season will be as and when.

I wonder if BP did any demographical research before working out the prices.

With the top Clubs he's previously been involved with, he will know that's the kind of information required and the results need to be taken into consideration.

Its not all about what the Club needs, its what its customers are prepared and able to pay.

I think that had BP waited a week and proposed this at the fans forum with the “aim to get more fans at The Walks. We recognise that these are challenging times and our role as a community club is to give the people of King’s Lynn something to smile about.”, not many in attendance would be thinking of the proposed level of pricing.  I appreciate that if the aim is to get back to NL straight away then higher prices would be needed but I do fear that for the second season since COVID lockouts there will be a section of the (former) crowd that will feel priced out at the Walks and it is a lot harder to find new fans than retain old ones. 

I am lucky that pricing is unlikely to affect the number of games I go to but time will tell if the decision to stay full-time with the corresponding higher entry fee will be the right one, I would have preferred something that more closely reflected the sentiment to get more fans back at the Walks even if that meant reverting to part-time and spending longer consolidating at step 2.  Part of me fears this is starting to look like a gamble to get back to NL before the Sport England loan repayments kick in and if it doesn't come off then poor attendances could form part of the narrative.

The Chairman is never shy about taking a gamble.  The £500k he borrowed on behalf of the Club in an attempt to stay in the National League being a prime example.   So maybe this is gamble number two in as much he is throwing the kitchen sink at a promotion push.
