Linnets lose on the road.

Disappointment for the league leaders as they go down 2-1 to Gloucester, after taking the lead in the 14th minute.

Att. 1008.

Not all bad though, other results were favourable and we are still top. Difference today, their number 9 scores goals.

At least our incredibly dedicated travelling fans did not have to pay inflated admission prices.

Lynn and Southport were the only teams in top 10 to lose today.

Last Saturday at 3pm Banbury sat 3rd in the League.   This week at 5pm they are 13th.

Gloucester seem to be the in form team as shown today.   The new Manager there seems to have the Midas touch.

Further more at 5pm next Saturday we could well find ourselves 4th in the League.  Albeit with games in hand on those around us
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

King's Lynn looked disjointed with their 3-4-3 formation. They basically played without a right back. Aaron Jones looked promising when he came on to fill the void. A well worked move in the box led to the Linnets' opener. However, Gloucester looked good for the win.

Hopefully a better performance at Doncaster next weekend will see us pull off a shock and progress to round two.

Ref was also very poor and gloucester play him well. Even 2 supporters in front of me said, "a win thanks to the ref!"

Wasn’t this the same line up and system that destroyed Kettering 6-1 a few short weeks back ?

I wonder after one failure if that system will chucked in the bin?   It’s certainly a brave decision to go with on the Road.  They do say you learn more about a team with a defeat than you do with a victory.

Has anyone seen TW’s post match interview ?  I’ve tried looking everywhere

Managers are only human. They can make mistakes the same as any of us can.

No shame in getting beat on the Road at the League’s in form team.  Steve King is a very experienced campaigner at this level.  Obviously did his homework on us and found a way to turn us over.

Who would you say is the most natural right back after Jones?

Hard luck.  Can’t win ‘em all!  The other team scored one more than us, that’s al.  TW would be wrong to change from an attacking line-up away from home.  We spent all last season with a team that on paper was always going to be stuck near our own penalty area, which was certain to give the opponents a load more chances than us.  OK, back on another winning run - we’re good enough.
