A marvellous manager and character IMO.

I have just replayed some of the Euros when he was at the helm.......just glorious football......and from an English National side !!!!!

A great player, coach, manager, club owner, hotelier and good all round bloke, with a wry sense of humour. El Tel also found time to co author best selling crime fiction and he also had a decent singing voice!  A multi talented character who made a huge contribution to football. RIP Terry.

Certainly a great Coach and fun personality.   Would say he was an interesting character in some of his business interests away from Football.

Had the pleasure of getting pi$$ed with Terry in another life.

Private party at his club in Kensington, Scribes West.  1996 ish,

Had been invited because our manager was featuring in a book about managers at every level of the game. Terry being the main man, with our Frank Murphey flying the flag for non league. So off we went, 20 of us to a private party hosted by the England Manager.

El Tel and Ted Buxton got a Karaoke machine out and as luck would have it, Kelly Marie was in attendance.  Once the singing was over, a screen dropped from the ceiling and we watched Frank Bruno win the World Heavyweight Title.

As surreal nights go,  that one is right there with the best of them and trust me, I've had a few.
