Lynn draw 1-1 away at Banbury.

It's getting very tight at the bottom.

:scarf:ooh so tight 1 from 7 teams for 4th relegation spot.
Can we prevail! 3 very hard games left hopefully we can get enough points in the next 2 games before the last game of the season

Listening to commentary we seemed very lethagic, hopefully when/if we survive we can put in a better shift for a full time side. It all seems a very subdued side at the moment.

:mystic: After today and checking status of games to play and current form final points tally
Southport 57
Peterborough Sports 57
Darlington 55
Rushall Olympic 54
Blyth Spartans 53
Kings Lynn 53
Farsley Celtic 51
Hopefully we do not finish 7th in that list

That’s two games on the trot where we have chucked leads away.  Really we should be done and dusted where relegation worries are concerned.

It seems teams around us have all stepped up to the plate when needed and sucked us right back into the battle.   AL said he was expecting a reaction today.   Did he get it ?

1 point gained today or two dropped ?  Time will tell.  One saving Grace is we now have back to back games at home.  Though our home form is nothing to write home about.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

A point gained Mallard. Our 11 match unbeaten run is what will have kept us at this level. Teams below us still have to play one another. Blyth have just 2 games left, they are against Scunthorpe and Brackley. Not a particularly good listen on the radio today, but a valuable point. If we stay up and I am confident we will, then AL will have achieved his aim.

I can't see how anyone can put a positive spin on the result today. AL asked for a reaction and it sounds as if he didn't get one.

Reality is that we should have had six points from our last two games, but have ended up with one.

Result is we are again fighting for NLN survival, when we should have our NLN status for next season all put to bed by now.

If we can’t beat a team who hasn’t won in its last 10 games who can we beat, I think the team will need a major overhaul before next season .whats the use of having a top striker if we don’t supply him with the crosses into the box ,I wish we had a couple of wingers to supply the crosses ,but they seem to be out of fashion which imo is a great same nothing like watching a winger taking on the full backs bring back the likes of Steve Spriggs flying down the wing

Certainly include David Clarke to that list and possibly Ray Savino.

:scarf: Think you could add Ronnie Bacon and Dave Partride and we had another winger surname Hall who had a fantastic strike remember him scoring once from the halfway line.

Managers wanting a reaction is part of many football myths   It suggests the players weren’t trying enough last week, but they will have to this week!  Our team cannot expect to beat poor sides regularly because we lack footballing quality.  The team always try hard and “put in a shift”, but they’re only equipped to pull the game into a skirmish, and a “battle”.  Those kind of teams are always going to be in a relegation dogfight.  The commentary, even on Radio Nfk, suggested Banbury, a team which had lost the last 11 games, had the better players.  It’s worrying, but the predictable “battle” will rage to the end!  COYL….

As i have mentioned on a number of previous occasions, i fail to see any obvious benefits of being full time at this level. Am i missing something??

I am using primary source of income to differentiate between FT and. PT.: an over simplification perhaps and maybe some naivety on my part but as a general rule of thumb i believe if PT you are more likely to attract players who are fully committed: those who play for the love of the game rather than viewing it as their primary source of income?
