Linnets hold Leaders
« on: March 11, 2025, 09:45:32 PM »
The Linnets hold League leaders with a 0-0 draw at the Walks.

Kings Lynn 0 v Brackley 0.

Att: 788.

With Curzon winning tonight, Lynn drop to 8th and out of the play off places.

Brackley also drop a place into 2nd with Scunthorpe leap frogging them after their win tonight.

A little knowledge may be dangerous, but knowing nothing while thinking you know it all is far worse.

That’s a decent point.  Now we need to follow it up with 3 more of them at home to Spennymoor on Saturday.

788 against top of the table with 3 quid money off deal must be concerning for the overseas investor.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Overall it was a decent point, i think Lynn shaded it in the first half but in the second half Brackley stepped it up a gear and at some points we were hanging in there and it was backs to the walls stuff. The crowd really got behind Lynn at that point and I just hoped we could nick it at the end but I don't think we tested their keeper once in the second half.

Lots of gutsy performances last night - Crowe is a fine full back but I think Ronan offers more

Lots to play for in the run in - Hereford losing to Rushall was the surprise of the night

As I said in my thread, it wasn't as well advertised compared to the Oxford City match. Disappointing really but considering Champions League was on last night it probably meant a few not turning up like they usually do

Not a great result that. Having watched the "highlights", it looks like it must have been a pretty drab affair.

Here's hoping for better on Saturday, both in terms of points and entertainment value for those that attend.

Not a drab affair. It was a very good match with both teams going for it. Lynn had the best of the first half, Brackley the best of the second. A fair result in the end. How can people comment on a match and run it down when they don't attend.

I agree, I thought it was an entertaining game, with both teams going for it, but cancelling each other out.

That was a great game of non league football, both sides wanted the win and played accordingly.
Played in the right spirit, great to see the teams at the end all shaking hands having enjoyed a great competitive game.

Well my post has certainly provoked a reaction........and a very positive one at that.

I am very pleased that those that posted in reply, felt it was such a good, entertaining watch.

I could only go by the highlights and the respective manager's comments.....one of which I seem to recall suggested Lynn didn't really have a shot on target to trouble their keeper in the second half.

Just for the record, The Walks is a 3.5 hour round trip for me now. I have decided that I will consider making the trip only when the Club connects more fully with its fan base and spells out a clear vision to me of what its intentions and aims are.
Possibly one of the reasons the attendance was as it was, is because some others feel the same way.

I also thought it was a lively match and agree with previous posters about the determination of both sides.

It was initially played at a very quick pace and I wondered if it would be possible to keep it up for 90 minutes. And things did slow down gradually, but not at the expense of the effort and entertainment. A draw was a fair outcome.

I also agree that we had the best of the first half, but not the second. Well worth the money, even though it continues to devalue my season ticket 😉

Decent 0-0 between two evenly matched sides. As other said we were better in first half but Brackley had us under the cosh in second, but we defended well for the 90 minutes. Plenty of commitment from both sides which, personally speaking, is what I want from my team.

Seen much worse games.

Hopefully if we can get into the play offs this will encourage Jo to pay another visit to watch what his money is buying.

Then again maybe we won’t be seeing him anytime soon. Hopefully SC has been working on other avenues to bring in support.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?
