Strange scenario playing out for Saturday...Chester have nothing to play for and will be in preparation for Wednesdays playoff....Lynn need a point to be sure of 5th and a home tie next Tuesday. How do we approach this game ?

Try and win it.

Other teams will be trying to win their matches so if we try to be clever it could bite us on the backside and we end up missing out - or finish 7th which then means a trip to Chester on Wednesday.

Try and win, finish 5th and get a home tie - if we lose and Chorley, Hereford & Curzon win, then we'll miss out as our goal difference is far inferior to those three teams.

100% agree..

We have become a team who is very hard to score against. On the flip side we don't score many goals. So for me it's got a 1-0  result written all over it.  Unless Chester turn up with one eye firmly fixed on Wed.  Win lose or draw tomorrow doesn't change anything for them.  However I'm sure they will want their strongest 11 out on Wednesday where nothing but a victory will do.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Surely the only way to approach the game is to try and win it. Or am i missing something obvious?

Obviously, as with every game, go out to win. If the score is level with 15 minutes to go, would both teams be content to just play out the game, probably not. If we score first, then AL may change tactics.
Surely though, Chester will rest their top players for Wednesday, isn't that what we would do if it were us that were 4th. We have to go out to win the game, not just to be in the playoffs, but to have a home game next.

They have left 7 players out from last week according to their forum

Quiet word in their changing room before the game, no tackles,  no goals, everyone's happy, see you in the play offs.

I still think we need to be careful.

Yes, Chester may well rest some of their players.......all that means is they will have others come into their team trying to prove a point, trying to force their way into the first team selection for the play offs.

Deep down, I think we'll be fine......but we need to be careful - lets hope Lynn try to win the match
