:sinking:  Hopefully something will be sorted. As AL and most players he signed have been northern based to cut costs why not move the training base up north and use players who live close to Manchester surely there must be more players in that region that would fit our needs. Hopefully a suitable training base can be found up there and the squad travels down for home matches. This could cut some costs such as overnight stays for northern matches etc.

Would they not shift to overnight stays for home games then? Idea of the overnight stay is to cut the travelling on a match day? :dontknow:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Reading all the responses on here is very interesting and nothing shows how fickle supporters can be. About 6 weeks ago many were complaining about AL and his style of football, notwithstanding the improvements he has made, now supporters are singing his praises and hoping he stays. All season supporters have been questioning how the club can afford full time football, overnight stays etc, now when something is being done to address the situation they are still moaning.
Hopefully the meeting on Thursday will set the club's stall out for the future, but no doubt whatever happens let's hope the club continues although no doubt it will all be the Trust's fault, and no I am not a Trust member.

My understanding of the meeting taking place later this week is for Bal to be introduced to the Trust membership and to hear his ideas for taking the Club over.  As things stand at the moment Cleeve still owns the Club so surely it is down to him to outline the way forward.  No firm proposal are on ‘The Table’  at this present time

It does seem a little strange that a person not owning the club  is telling the current Manager what is budget is for next season.  Am I alone in thinking the cart is being put firmly  before the Horse ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

I do hope the trust will not be persuaded to throw any money that they have into a sinking ship. Do they know this "Bal" I hope they are very carefull.

The question is how much would need to be thrown in, in future years

Maybe a deal was done a few months back full disclosure wasn't given to the new investors....and now the whole club is in limbo. As far as I am aware SC has been silent since the end of the season.

Took the words out of my mouth Blueboy! I've been rather baffled since some of this has come out as to the responses of certain individuals on the various forums to do with the club. None more so at the prospect of becoming part-time again. It was generally the consensus that the club doesn't warrant full-time status given its current state, and yet when the manager comes out and says that being part-time next season is possible, those same people are shocked at the prospect of being part-time again.

Just seems to be a thing at this football club that no matter what we'll all have a moan. Some on here may even get their wish and see this football club back in the UCL playing Wisbech and Deeping Rangers - back home in time for tea  :laughcry:

Maybe worth a try but it is a big step up.
Look at Ben Stephens, 24 goals  at Barwell before coming to Lynn and 26 for Harborough after Lynn.

The Fletcher Toll chance has sailed on after the way he was treated by the club. He can do better than Lynn in his own time. Bigger and better clubs have watched him at Corby this season for sure.
