Good article on Rowe in the EDP too https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/25186708.new-kings-lynn-town-boss-james-rowe-squad-changes/

Reading between the lines looks like we will be putting more emphasis on developing players rather than AL's grinding out results (appreciate that was necessary in 2023-24 but not so much 2024-25 when he chose the players and style) and particularly like his thoughts on loan players and more local links, certainly expect his contact list to be wider than ALs so then it will also be down to the club to be on board with that.  So far, so good and looks to be saying all the right things as you would expect from a manager who should probably be managing higher up the pyramid but equally he has been away for a while now so opportunity for him to prove himself again.

I believe the main criteria he will need is to be able to manage on a very tight budget, probably for the next few seasons.

Would think he will use the budget wisely on the core of his team then pad it out with loaners and players he can develop.

Think the fans need be prepared for a team around mid table in the short term. Still
If Sports can do it then no reason shouldn’t be in and around that area.

Let’s hope we get some  entertaining attacking football next season.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

If that's the price that has to be paid for the extreme excess's of previous seasons, so be it!

:scarf: Now the dust is stirring around hope the new man get the players we need to stay at this level as it’s alway harder to get promoted than staying put.
Looking forward to next season adventures!

Are we really going to compare this football club to a team in Peterborough that can barely get 200 people through the door as an example of how to compete in this league? We should be looking up, not looking down.

I was one of many who stayed away in the last few months, I was not enjoying the rubbish that was being served up on the pitch.
I dont mind seeing us lose a game if its been a good watch. I am going to give the new man a chance, I just want to be entertained.
Good luck to him.

Sports have done very well with a limited budget. As you say, only 200 gates yet they still managed a commendable 12 placed position. I would think their supporters were well pleased with that.

From what I understand, they didn't go 300k over budget to achieve that position.

It makes one wonder where Cleeve and his Managerial appointments would have seen us finish last season, if the Club had kept to its budget?

I’m not sure you can compare clubs based purely on their attendances. It’s a new era with both, new owners and manager. I like the fact that JR was a forward, and a good one too. A little surprised that we resigned Omotayo but not surprised that he choose to stay. Hopefully JR can get more from him, in terms of goals.
Looking forward to the new season, but think that JR will do well once he has a settled side. Good luck James.
