Be interesting to see what he can achieve with going full time.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Fantastic signing, well done JR and thanks to Gary Setchell for his part. A natural goal scorer and from Lynn too. A couple of steps up from Corby, (Jamie Vardy made the step up 😀). I have no doubt that Fletcher will be a huge success and quickly become a favourite amongst fans. I wonder who will be wearing the number 9 shirt this season. Welcome Fletcher, really good that you’re now a Linnet, good luck💙💛

:oldman" This is a big step up for Fletcher, we must give the lad time to settle in, he undoubtedly has the ability to score goals and with full time training and advice, I’m sure he will prove to be a huge hit with his home town team. We as fans need to realise that he will not score as freely as with Heacham or Downham as this is massively different players he will be facing. Hopefully the club nurtures this young man and he will indeed score goals for KLTFC in the near future. :oldman"

Daz, I think he is more than capable of at least replicating what Gold or Margetts notched last season, so the bar doesn’t need to be set too high.

Last season AL set the team up not to concede, therefore our strikers opportunities were limited. Keep a clean sheet and nick a goal . AL philosophy !!! Hopefully next season will be more attack based , especially at the Walks therefore the forwards should get more chances. The crowd will go home happy as long as we win by the odd goal in 5 but if we lose the negative attention will turn to the defense. It’s about a balance . Fingers crossed.

Mall, I’m not saying he’s not capable, I’m basically saying it’s a big step up to this level, even from Corby, and I’m saying give the boy time to bed in at this level. Only my opinion, but don’t set the lad up to fail, let’s give him the support and training he was denied previously and see where it can take him.

Quite right, let's not heap pressure on the lad...and see where we go.

Not disagreeing with you Daz. Just saying last season I don’t seem to recall much pressure was put on the Margetts or Gold despite not pulling any trees up in the goal scoring stakes.  So Toll won’t have to worry.

You may well prove to be correct in your assessment of Fletcher's all round ability? However the fact that natural goal scorers at every level are 'gold dust', added to which he has scored regularly as he has progressed up the pyramid: this season 30 so far at step 4 for the first time, is it not possible that at the age of 21 with the right coaching that he might progress further?"

These were my comments a while ago in response to Paul47, who had expressed his opinion that Fletcher might not make the grade at this level. I still subscribe to the view that with the right level of coaching support and an attacking style of play that will create opportunities, Fletcher will score goals but we must be realistic in our expectation as he adjusts to playing two levels higher. Thus far he has met every challenge presented, so let's hope that he will eventually walk in the footsteps of Jack Defty, becoming a local hero, as would have Joe Taylor had he been given the opportunity before he moved on.

For the first time in quite a while i am considering once again becoming a paying supporter, just as long as Mr Cleeve has no day to day involvement in running off field activities and that admission prices are reasonable.

Good luck Fletcher !!
