Lynn lose their home game at the Walks going down 1-0 to Kidderminster.

Bookings beginning to add up with a further 3 players booked tonight.

Att: an impressive 1284

Decent attendance. 100 mph frantic football with a lack of quality in the final third against a well organised Kidderminster side . Credit to our players who kept going to the end .

Very difficult to play 12 men .

A Well Wisher

Well I have to say that has to go down as one of, if not, the worst referee I've seen at the Walks in a very long time. Gyasi in the first half had a stonewall penalty not given, and the Kiddy players were almost assaulting some of the Lynn players but hardly blew up for a free kick, yet when the Kiddy players went down as if they'd been shot he was happily blowing away at his whistle. I do think that some refs, when they know they're going to be centre of attention, play up to the crowd and this chap was no different.

As for the game, I thought we were far and away the better side, Kiddy, however, go up the other end and score their only chance of the game, as seems to be the recurring theme at the Walks this season. Kiddy, to their credit, defended well and at times played up to the ref knowing that they would get the decision.

Onto Alfreton on Saturday to put things right. Hopefully they'll be a good following from us up there seeing as its not a million miles away  :scarf: :scarf: :bus:

Gold in for Doherty saw us change formation and style from that which won 4-0 on Saturday. I do wonder if in doing so JR showed Kidderminster too much respect as we never really got into our stride.

Kiddy certainly 'mastered the dark arts' once they had something to hold on to. The game reminded me a lot of when we were going head to head with AFC Fylde (also managed by Adam Murray) for the title a few season's back and we lost that one nil too.

The thing they held on to most was the shirts of the Lynn players,lucky the lynn players finished with an intact shirt! :banghead;
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

All I have to say is it was Awful to watch and I think they have practise at Radar acting school

Have to respect JR's starting 11, personally, I would prefer Omotayo as a sub. He hasn't scored and for me doesn't offer enough elsewhere, we are a better team playing the ball on the ground rather than long balls that he doesn't win.
No complaints with the way Kidderminster broke the play up with time wasting, we would have done exactly the same thing. We played well and gave it our all, just couldn't unlock a well organised defence. No shame in losing tonight. Williams deserved his man if the match, he is some player.

It's all about fine margins.  Can't get too high after Saturdays 4-0 win in turn can't get to low after a 1-0 defeat.   This team is very much a project in building.  Rowe will have leant a lot from these two games and know where he is short.

Yet again the one thing showing up for me is the lack of that final ball.  We need to improve on the quality in that area. It's all well and good having so much procession but without an end product it leaves disappointment.

Williams was the stand out for me. Certain players looked a little 'leggy' which playing with high intensity is maybe going to show with so many games  over a short period..

Interesting Merthyr won on the road last night and move above us in the table. This is going to be one strange League this season. Though South Shields are setting the pace and sit 8 points above us at the top of the table.

Onto Alfreton on Saturday who got stuffed 5-0 at Oxford last night and have had a poor start to the season.

Does anyone know if the new keeper was signed for just one game last night or is he with us on a permanent basis?  If it it's a one game basis what is that saying about Paul Jones who has been a loyal player to the Club.

Crowd wise I thought it would be much bigger.  Last season on Tuesday 3rd Sept we pulled in nearly 1350. With the brand of Football on offer at The Walks I don't really get that one.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Think they are trained  by Tom Daley.

We did well to come away from the game with only 3 bookings.....quite possibly the most inept performance from an official I've ever seen! Kiddy totally played him and he wasn't strong enough to deal with them.

Didn't think we were quite at our best despite dominating the possession.

:scarf: Are we going to be reported to the FA for barracking a poor performance by the referee. He's a 0/10 for tonight's game. Kidderminster players keep falling down and fooling him to stop the game and award them free kicks, going down with head injuries then having treatment on other parts of their anatomy imo that should be a yellow card to stop that creeping in.
Second half performance needed different tactics so many KL players in a flat line up front running down channels offered no variety to challenge opposition who were sitting back and mopping up the high ball crosses.
Thought Kidderminster were not that good comparing to other seasons apart from their goal did not offer much up front

Yet he booked six Harriers players and we now face a fine. How does that correlate with a biased ref then?

Sour grapes methinks.
