It seems old habits die hard.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

It will be interesting to see whats on the Menu for today.
Question everything!

Colin Fuller

Is this some new game on the forum - guess what it means?  Can someone please enlighten me?

Walks In The Sunshine

That's ridiculous.

I've been excited at the start of this season, we're playing good football, we have the basis of a good team.......and now this.

We can all speculate what the "non football" reasons are, but it's ridiculous.

Of course the new person we appoint could be an improvement.....but they could also be a lot worse

Walks.

Do you mind me asking what you find ridiculous about it please?

Surely there's more to being a Manager than just being able to put a potentially  good squad together and potentially get some decent results?

The thing is Walks some don't need to speculate.

I can't see Bal getting away with that.

Supporters and Sponsors will need a bit more meat on the bone, and deservedly so.

Well the 'risk' Bal took has backfired spectacularly.  Does this bring into question his decision making in the eyes of the fans but also the owner.

First big appointment he has had to make and he's got it wrong, big time. The National coverage this now going to attract must have a negative effect on the Club and its business.

Eyes will be very much in Bal going forward.  Surely he realised this appointment had all the potential to go wrong yet he took that gamble.

Just read the Club statement. Is that really the best Club can come up with ? I think the least we should expect is some form of apology from Bal. or does he already feel his job is untenable ?

Resigned?

Maybe technically, but apparently given no choice (and rightly so).

Bad appointment. It could have backfired more than it has. Staff and supporters need protecting. Supporters and Sponsors have invested heavily this season due to what they were told and after having their expectations raised. In this day and age it's  a "fall on your sword" matter, but I doubt we'll see that happen here.

I think (and hope) we will see a further statement soon, and maybe even Bal issuing an apology on this one.

Mall, all managerial appointments come with 'risk' - just look at Clarke or Hughes in recent times, although the risk with with Rowe was always likely to be 'non-footballing'.  Personally I am not going to second guess Bal, I said at the time I thought JR was a good appointment and am sorry that we are at this point, that isn't to defend JR and if he and the club consider his actions merit his resignation then that is between them and any other parties involved.

Thoughts now turn to Saturday and a big FA Cup game for Joe Simpson to step up to, nothing in the statement but JR's backroom team looked a little light with Jones going out on loan so wonder if there is the option to recall him to assist Joe until a permanent appointment is made?

Surely there's "risk", then there's "RISK".

My comment of "Ridiculous" wasn't aimed at the manager, or anyone in particular for that matter

My comment of "ridiculous" was that it seems to sum up the luck this club has!!

We all mostly agree the football was good, the signings were good and to have it taken away is ridiculous(luck)

If the truth comes out, then all when and good, but people will always speculate unless they know the facts

Do you have anything you'd like to share Mallard??!!
