Lynn draw 2-2 away to Worksop after being 2-0 ahead, with the equaliser coming in the 90th minute.

Disappointing as it is with what's been going on recently, I guess we would have been pleased with a draw if we had been offered it pre KO.

Att: 604.

Tonight's results drops us to 16th in the table.

Who can work out how many points we've lost from winning positions this season? I'll bet it's not a lot less than we've actually got.

Is that tactics from the sidelines or in the player's heads?

Mallard

Looks like the 'adviser' really earned his corn tonight.  What did he advise at 2-0 up.

There you go Jo another one to add to Bal's growing list.

Is he really the best we can get?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

It won't be tactics from the sidelines, nor any pointing from the captain because I don't believe players take notice of such things at any level.  If they're watching the manager or hearing him screaming at them, they won't be concentrating on the play around them! They can be moved up or down at free kicks, etc, but not during play.  Call me a cynic!....

Bals list is growing by the day. He's not employed by the club he's employed by TSI.In must cases I can't see an owner of a club being happy with what hes produced so far but in this case maybe whats not good for the club is good for Jo and his TSI.
Speaking to a membner of his inner circle after last nights game they are surprised at his lack of concern after the last two games and he didn't seem very bothered by the results.Whats that all about?

A Well Wisher

Two points well and truly dropped last night. Should've comfortably won 3 or 4-0 against a poor Worksop side who just pump long balls into the box for their big lads up top. For me the subs made by Joe were totally wrong, this Kamara chap is utterly useless as we all saw on Saturday and Joe rightly brought him off for Gyasi. The reverse occurred last night and, as others said, we may as well have played with 10 men. And then to take Morgan Williams, our best player on the pitch at 2-1 for Gold sealed our fate that we were going to throw it away. Further, I don't know what Joe sees in this Aaron Chapman but for me Louis Chadwick should be our number 1 goalie. Rumours circulating last night that apparently Chadwick is going to be sent out on loan - if that happens then I'm baffled as to what is going on at the club.

Last night was a must win game and should've been an easy 3 points. I like Joe and he's someone that I'm happy to see continue in his role as a coach at the club but ultimately if we are going to get the best out of a promising young squad then we need a manager A S A F****** P, otherwise the optimism at the start of the season with the Rowe appointment has totally flopped after just 2 months.

I really hope we get a result on Saturday   :scarf:

Thanks Dilly, I guess I was thinking more about set ups and substitutions. When changes are needed substitutions appear to be like-for-like. Who else would like to see Gyasi and Kamara given a chance together? Others may disagree, but Kamara looks a good, young prospect to me, but so often seems to be willingly chasing around up front, totally unsupported. He's too young for that imo, and needs someone useful and experienced alongside.

Money and balancing a very tight budget?

Everything points to it.

So we get a decent squad and a very good manager at the start of the season only to start making budget cuts 2 months into the season? Managed decline comes to mind

Mallard

We have been turning up for games without a full complement of players on the bench.  Yet we have 4 players out on loan.  What else could that be down to, other than a money saving exercise.

I'm not sure there's been any cuts since the start of the season (  :dontknow:  ) but a 30% reduction from last season was always going to catch up sooner or later. Lots of money coming in at start of season with season ticket sales and sponsorship etc. (although the main sponsorship is probably being paid on the drip). The attendances appear to be holding up at the moment, but of course a lot of the income from that has already been had in the advance sales, so no real on going benefit from that. No idea if they are servicing the DCMS debt as they should be but if they are, that will be impacting as well. Then there's the small matter of catching up with HMRC. Lots of call on the finances so like any business, I doubt there's a lot of surplus. So if the budget IS tight, it doesn't come as a big surprise.

Jo also wanted his money back (how much that is and when we don't know) so this is potentially another draw on the finances, if not now then at sometime in the future. The "new era" is not going any different than the way I feared it would, and I'm really not sure what a lot supporters were expecting from our new potential owners.

On Joe, we don't know what influence the adviser is having during the game. Is Joe being instructed on what to do or just advised? Either way, it doesn't look like this idea is working so any money being paid out in that direction appears to be a waste. It was probably worth trying with how things were going but can we afford the luxury of sticking with it to see how it goes (both financially and with dropping points as we have been)?

Joe's should either be in full control or not. No half way house. I can't see the point of directing money away from the actual playing budget into this Adviser anyway (a luxury even if it worked), and the results since its been in place appears to back this up.  :dontknow:

Its human nature not to like uncertainty. Nobody can deny that Bal has created a lot of uncertainty at the moment, be it for Joe himself, the supporters or the players.

We are now only 6 points off bottom place, and the two lowest teams have a game in hand on us.

I feel a bold decision has to be made with regards to the Manager situation and Bal needs to step up to the Plate Very quickly. Either it's Joe (to the end of the season), or it isn't!

A "see how it goes" attitude is no good for anyone".

Or is it?
