Cully's first home game in charge ends in a 2-0 home win

Kings Lynn 2 v 0 Leamington.

The Linnets move up to 15th position.

Att: 978.

Well done all.

Question everything!

Kevin Holland

Only negative for me was the keeper walking outside of the box.  Lucky escape.

All in all, decent crowd, excellent result and with 4 points and two clean sheets in two games,  looks like the confidence is there, now to build a bit of momentum.
Make every day a Sun day.

First half was not pretty. What was Chapman doing walking outside his area holding the ball. We got away with that, their free kick on the edge of the box cleared the cross bar by some distance. Much better second half,  end to play like that from the beginning.

Is Gyasi not fully fit? Thought Marriott looked lively and Kamara put himself about when he came on, should really have scored within a minute of coming on too. Overall, decent performance, especially second half. Much needed win and 3 points, well done.

Excellent start to Cully's third spell in charge. Hopefully go on a run and slowly build up some momentum. Well done to all .

:scarf: I don't know what was said at half-time it certainly worked. Swift movement and good interplay we should have had 2 or 3 more goals. Thought Goldie had one of his best halves it shows when he gets good service instead of chasing hoofed clearances.
Must not get carried away as the opposition were not the best!

I thought the referee was appalling in my opinion he did not get one decision right. This made the first half
Poor really good to see Lynn play like that in the second.

Funny evening, although not much to laugh about with the ref who seemed to be watching a completely different game to everyone else.  I bet JS was looking at Leamington with a rye smile given he had to face Scarborough (now 5th), Fylde (now top) and Radcliffe (now 3rd) in his three home games.  I think if we had played as well as we did first half against Radcliffe, even with the ref, we would have been three or four up but such is way of football management.  That said it was great to see IC back in the dugout and listening to his post match interview the half time tweaks worked (something we missed under JS?)

Positives - confidence boosting 3 points, whole backline looked much keener to try and win that first ball, Marriott's link up play, more movement when Collins introduced, can't just rely on Crane (who had a good game)

Negatives - we won't play Leamington every week so still very much 'work in progress', Clements getting involved in some nonsense and then going down in the final minutes - one of the few things the ref got right by making him go off (as he had with a Leamington player earlier in the half)

Finally, yet again IC praised Chapman as part of the back line, he obviously sees something me and those around me don't as he just looks a liability to us, got away with walking out of his area last night because of who we were playing but think he will cost us more than he saves over the course of a season and why two keepers on the bench but not Wilson or has he gone back to Norwich?

Walks In The Sunshine

I stood behind Culverhouse in the dugout for the second half last night and what I really loved was the emotion he was showing.

In his interviews he comes across as very level headed and very matter of fact.

But last night he demonstrated real passion at the decisions against us and his celebration when the second went in, almost gave me goosebumps.

He seems to just "get" us and I'm made up he's back at the helm......time will tell how successful he will be

On a side note, does anyone actually know why the home and away dugouts have been switched (it's bugging me!!)

Rumour has it that a certain Mr Rowe didn't want the linesman spoiling his view!

:scarf: Perhaps the dugouts were changed to stop the over the top and racist comments that the opposition bench had to endure each match. It appears to have worked as that group are a lot quieter now except for one ***** ******* shout!

Tony M - re Chapman, a work colleague and. Boston United fan says that they all loved Chapman when he was there for a bit. He was signed after their goalkeeper got injured. Said he was excellent and would have him back.

Maybe Chadwick will get the nod for the upcoming FA Trophy game v Harrow.

All about opinions, as I said IC has gone out of his way to praise him the last two games so he obviously rates him and we have to accept that he sees more of him than we do.  Strange that in a young squad the two most talked about selections (certainly near where I stand) are Chapman and Gold who are two of the more experienced players.

FA Trophy is probably coming at the wrong time, would be good for IC to see a few of the fringe players in a match situation but equally a win is probably more important from a confidence building perspective.  At least no midweek games for a couple of weeks so chance for IC to have some proper time with the squad.
