A really good point earned away at South Shields today, with Gold equalising on 47 minutes  after South Shields had taken the lead with a very early goal.

Looks a lot more promising going forward than it did only a couple of weeks ago.

Really good point on the road, we were probably never as bad as some were making out under JS, just the upheaval of Rowe leaving, tough run of fixtures and inexperienced manager you could see the confidence draining out of the squad.  IC has come in, couple of (relatively) easy fixtures and the belief seems to be coming back so hopefully we can now keep that bit of momentum going forward.

Certainly an excellent result at S Shields.  Not many sides have managed it.  Apparently a huge backs to the wall effort which is to be congratulated.  Much too early to get carried away, however, as "backs to the wall" games are what we were fed up with under A L, and we'll need fluidity in midfield and attack going forward.  Not carping though; well done, and fingers crossed we improve our goal threat.
