No coach for this game. Any away travel tickets for sale on the club website can be found here -

I did also look at public transport, but realistically this is a driver's game unless you are travelling up the day before.

Without stops it is roughly 4.5 to 5 hours by car depending on route and traffic.

The following places to eat/drink, parking info and hotel ideas were generated by AI as usual (and where it found the info), but with the car driver in mind.

A.F.C. Fylde away is at the Mill Farm, Coronation Way, Wesham, Preston, PR4 3JZ. The ground is just off M55 Junction 3, and the complex itself has Bradley's Sports Bar, Aroma Cafe, Milano's, an Aldi, petrol station and fast-food outlets on site. ([1])

TL;DR plan

* Best simple option: drive straight to Mill Farm, try the free North Stand car park first, and if that is full use the overflow car park at £5 per car. ([2])
* Best food/drink option at the ground: Bradley's Sports Bar — proper sports-bar setup, food served on Saturdays from 12 noon to 8pm. ([3])
* Best nearby pub if you do not want to stay on site: Lane Ends, Wesham — proper pub/restaurant and about as local as it gets. ([4])
* Tickets: AFC Fylde's 2025/26 matchday prices were confirmed by the club as away standing £18 adults, £7 Junior U16. ([5])
* Day-before/weekender option: stay in Blackpool and drive in on matchday — it is only about 8.6 miles from Blackpool to AFC Fylde. ([6])

Parking & getting in

* Official supporter parking: the club says the North Stand car park is free on a first come, first served basis. Once that is full, the overflow car park is £5 per car. ([2])
* Old away-guide info from Football Ground Guide also mentions a stadium car park at £5, but the most up-to-date club guidance now looks to be free first, then £5 overflow. ([7])
* Do not chance Aldi parking if you are there for the match — older ground guides specifically warn about parking restrictions there. ([7])
* Arrival tip: because the free spaces are first come, getting there around 90 minutes before kick-off is probably the smart play. (My suggestion rather than a club rule.)

Pubs & food

* Bradley's Sports Bar (on site) is the easiest shout by a mile. Mill Farm push it as their main pre-match food-and-drink venue, with lots of screens, proper meals, cask ale and Saturday food service from 12 noon to 8pm. ([3])
* Lane Ends, Wesham is the best nearby non-ground option I found. It is a family-run bar and restaurant on Weeton Road, with food served daily and easy enough if you want a more normal pub than a stadium sports bar. ([4])
* Mill Farm itself also has Aroma Cafe, Milano's, plus fast-food outlets on site, so nobody should be going hungry. ([1])
* Away-day verdict: for most drivers I'd keep this one simple — park at Mill Farm, have a drink and food in Bradley's, then stroll in.

Tickets

* AFC Fylde's official 2025/26 pricing announcement says matchday admission away fans standing: £18 adults, £7 juniors U16. ([5])
* Worth checking the live ticket page before you leave just in case this specific fixture has any segregation or sale arrangements attached to it.

Public transport

* In theory Mill Farm is not impossible by rail — Kirkham & Wesham is the nearest station, roughly 15–18 minutes' walk from the ground depending on source, and the 61 bus also links Blackpool, Preston and Kirkham. ([8])
* In practice from King's Lynn for a Saturday away, this looks like a driver's game unless you travel up the night before.

Useful stop-offs for drivers

Pick one depending on whether you want quick and easy or something a bit more interesting.

* Wetherby Services is the obvious no-faff stop on the A1(M) if you just want fuel, loos and food.
* Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a better "stretch the legs" stop if you want something a bit different — it is just off the motorway near M1 Junction 38. ([9])
* Rufford Old Hall is a good later stop once you are getting close to Fylde/Blackpool — National Trust place with parking, grounds and a tea room, so ideal if you want a calmer break before the last leg. ([10])

Simple matchday flow (drivers)

1. Aim for Mill Farm around 90 minutes before kick-off.
2. Try the free North Stand car park first. ([2])
3. If that is full, use the £5 overflow. ([2])
4. Go straight into Bradley's Sports Bar for food and a pint. ([3])
5. Head into the ground without needing to move the car.

Making a weekend of it – stay in Blackpool

Blackpool is a really sensible base because it is close to the ground — around 8.6 miles by road — and there is plenty of accommodation across cheap, mid-range and splash-out levels. Blackpool Council also has long-stay car parks across the resort if your hotel parking is limited. ([6])

Cheap / value shouts

* Premier Inn Blackpool Central – guide price from £29, free parking, and an on-site Brewers Fayre. ([11])
* Premier Inn Blackpool Airport – guide price £29–£100, free parking, and handy if you want an easier in/out by car rather than being deep in the centre. ([12])
* Premier Inn Blackpool Bispham – also listed with free parking, quieter spot north of the centre. ([11])

Could be cheap / "mispriced if you catch the right date"

* Best Western Carlton Blackpoolfrom £50 with breakfast according to Visit Blackpool, with onsite parking though parking charges apply. ([13])
* Holiday Inn Blackpool – guide price £89 with breakfast from Visit Blackpool. A newer central option, so if that rate appears on your date it is worth a look. Check parking before booking. ([11])
* The Bromley – boutique B&B feel, with free onsite parking subject to availability. ([14])

Money no object

* Boulevard Hotel – listed from around £150 and one of the standout luxury options in Blackpool. ([11])
* Big Blue Hotel – described as a luxurious contemporary four-star hotel, listed from around £85, with parking for 150 cars. ([11])

Parking for overnight stays

* Included parking confirmed: Premier Inn Central, Premier Inn Airport, Premier Inn Bispham. ([11]) ([12])
* Onsite parking but charges/availability caveat: Best Western Carlton (charges apply), Bromley (free but subject to availability). ([13]) ([14])
* Fallback option if hotel parking is awkward: use one of Blackpool Council's long-stay car parks. ([15])

My best picks

* Best pure away-day option: drive straight to Mill Farm, park there, and use Bradley's.
* Best overnight value: Premier Inn Blackpool Central.
* Best nicer stay without going mad: Best Western Carlton or The Bromley.
* Best splash-out: Boulevard Hotel.

Had a quick look at getting to the ground for those staying in Blackpool for the weekend.

Return train ticket from Blackpool North to Kirkham and Wesham £7.20 and takes 15 minutes - looks like around 3 trains per hour.

And from the Facebook supporters group page (posted by Leanne Boyle)

I run a pub in wesham, 10 min walk to AFC Fylde and just accross from the train station Royal Oak, Wesham
I'm sure we've had a few of you in before, but just wanted to stick an invite out for anyone coming up for the game in a few weeks, more than welcome here 🍻 🍻

Tough game and another on Tuesday.

Win one. Draw one. Loose one.

I can live with that.

Four points from the next two games and then another loss will keep that pattern going.

Bring it on....
