Assuming we stay up in the NNL which players would like still on board and would you give the Managers job to Caddis ?

I'd stick Clements, Wilson, Williams, Crane, Dickens, Doherty and Forde Brown.  As for Caddis, no way.

Trouble is after Bal has appointed 4 Managers this season would you trust him to eventually get it right 5th time lucky ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Geppetto

Yes agree that if we stay up some interesting conversations to be had and decisions to be made. I know from previous posts you were a fan of Culverhouse so do you think Bal was right to offload him for Caddis ? During ICs time in charge he managed an average of 1 point per game and Caddis is currently 1.33 points per game.
I cant imagine that managers were lining up to take on a team in a relegation scrap so fair play to Caddis to stand up and give it a go. Lets hope he gets us over the line.

Really difficult to make a strong case for any employee associated with the club retaining their job, appreciate everyone will make mistakes during their working life but this year has been mistake after mistake on and off the field so some decisions for Jo to make.

In answer to your question, Caddis is certainly more open on the media side and can't really argue with his post match comments with any of the games I have seen but we are not paying him to analyse what has happened but on his ability to get the best out of the squad in terms of selection, tactics and motivation and whilst we did see a 'new manager blip' I am not sure he has really done enough to earn a contract for next year.

In terms of the playing squad, I would like to see Wilson stay but imagine he will be in the NL next season, Doherty has done well in midfield and there is a player there although probably not physical enough to play centre half in a two and presumably Ubaezuonu will be here next year.  You could probably make a case for another 5-6 as being being able to do a job in a better squad but really I wouldn't be bothered at anyone else leaving.  Obviously the key factor is always going to be budget and questions need to be asked as to why so many of the experienced (and presumably higher earning) players were out for long spells with injuries which left the younger players exposed.  At the fans forum in December Bal, IC and MC were all in favour of the full time model but with one gone and one injured having had a good season but not as influential on the pitch as many had hoped is now the time to reassess that model which may then impact on the managerial appointment.

As ever, never a dull moment at the Walks but that isn't necessarily a good thing

It is advisable to maintain concentration on the remainder of this season.

100% Cully should have gone. He didn't produce, results don't lie. So would have to agree with you that Bal got that one wrong as well.

Another player to consider is Gysai.  With his internal disciplinary meeting next Tuesday then depending on the result of that he might be added to the players who should be retained.

Re Gepetto's comment on 'fair play to Caddis to stand up and give it a go'. He was sacked at Hereford so when offered a job at Lynn, was he ever going to turn it down, I don't think so. What even makes you think that he would actually like to be here after June.
I would like to see these stay -
Hall-Johnson
Clements
Wilson
Ubaezuonu
Williams
Crane
Toll (maybe he will play for us one day)
Dickens
Doherty

I think we will stay up, two difficult away games, but a win at home to Chorley will be enough, failing that, the bottom teams play one another, so that helps.

No to Caddis. Team selection, style of football, tactics, substitutions, unable to get the best out of current players. I can see why Hereford had had enough.

Cynical dummy here!  All football managers talk cliche drivel imho!  All interviewers and pundits take them seriously.  There are no "formations" after the kick-off, just the best teams having everyone behind the ball when their team are being attacked, with about 7 or 8 of them swarming forward when they have it.  We (and all) need a manager who can fill a team with players who don't have to act like they're listening to the coach with his picture book before they come on as a sub!  Such a simple (and great) game.  I hope we have one next season, with Williams and Wilson still here!....

:laughcry:  Us beat Chorley not a hope in hell after the last two games at home. Neither goalie playing for the opposition was tested.
Hereford won tonight and with games in hand still look capable of escaping and our performances against the rest of the strugglers has not been positive apart from Leamington. I can't see us getting another point at home or away at Kidderminster or Chester.
Relegation maybe a good thing to start again as part time. I can't see many of the current squad accepting the new terms and they will move on.

Hereford will stay up and will finish above us. They are away to Bedford on Saturday and then have 4 remaining games, all at home.
They can do us a favour by beating Bedford. Bedford have to go to South Shields so would fancy a home win there. If Bedford lose both those games, providing we get 3 more points, they wouldn't get above us.
Oxford have 3 remaining games, all tough. With two more to be relegated, I think it will be between Curzon Ashton, Oxford and Alfreton.
Had we had got a draw with Bedford, things would have looked much better, for me now, the Chorley game is pivotal, unless we win at Kidderminster 😁

It could get a bit squeaky bum time in the run in.  IF we do go down or stay up then what a first season for the new ownership model and the CEO in particular.  Burnt through 4 Managers and god knows how many players.  Bal will need to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Well we are now in the bottom five and we need a win and with Chorley at home and Chester
Away and on our present form I can't see were a win is coming from I don't want to sound like the drop is a certainty but have we with changing Managers jumped out of the frying pan into the fire

Coastal linnet

Tuesday's fixtures will be interesting to follow. It would be good to see Hereford beat Oxford and Buxton to win at Alfreton.

Mallard

It will be interesting to read Bal's end of term report, that is if he's still in the job to do a report.

Not much from the puppet master today

I didn't expect to get anything from the Kidderminster game, not even when we went 1 up.
Obviously our home game v Chorley is what matters now. If we win, we will very likely stay up, as other teams below and around us still have to play each other, which in the circumstances is very good for us.
If we draw against Chorley, it will be very close and could be looking for Worksop to win on the last day. If we lose to Chorley, we would need to get something at Chester, that's a big ask.
Hopefully Saturday we will attack from the off, it really is a must win game if we are to stay in the NLN. It will no doubt not be a comfortable afternoon, looking at scores elsewhere, but we are at home and Chorley are definitely beatable.
We will need to take chances and that includes decent delivery of corner kicks. My positive head says we will win 2-0, there is no room for any negative thoughts, Hopefully Hereford stuff Bedford tomorrow, Bedford then have two tough remaing games. Buxton also win tomorrow against Alfreton would be good news too.

Geppetto

As fans all we can do at the moment is get behind the team on Saturday by turning out in numbers and making the lads hear our support. No point speculating on next season until this one is done. Pointing fingers at this stage will only have the opposite effect to what is needed.
Oh and by the way Mal would rather be the puppet master than the marionette how' s your old sparing partner these days long time no hear unless of course your posts represent information supplied.
