Fancy dress for this game - I'm going as Henry VIII

Just a quick post to try and boost numbers for the coach.

I know the weekend's results may have dampened things a bit, but this is still a massive final game and the team needs all the support it can get.

If you're thinking of going, please book a seat on the coach and let's get behind the lads for the last game of the season.

There is a coach for this one, leaving The Walks at 6:30am for the 12:30pm kick-off.

With it being an early kick-off, the usual "pub first" plan is a bit trickier than normal. Chester do have some early-opening food/drink options in the city, but for anyone on the coach it may well be more of a quick breakfast/coffee away than a full pre-match pub crawl. (That is my judgement based on the kick-off time and likely arrival window.)

Chester play at the Deva Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester, CH1 4LT. Away fans are usually in the West Stand (South corner), entering via turnstile 7. ([1]) ([2])

The following things to do, places to eat/drink and parking details were generated by AI as usual (and where it found the info), with both the coach traveller and drivers in mind.

TL;DR plan

* Coach fans: because of the 12:30pm kick-off, the most realistic "early" options are breakfast/brunch places rather than proper football pubs. Town Crier opens from 9am and serves food from 9am, while Station Tap at Chester station is open from 6am with breakfast from 7am. ([3]) ([4]) ([5])
* Best simple option at the ground: The Blues Bar exists at the stadium, but Chester say away-fan access can change depending on the fixture, so it is worth checking with the club rather than assuming. ([6])
* Drivers: for this specific game, parking at the Deva is strictly ticket only, £5 in advance, with no pay-on-arrival facility. ([7])
* Tickets: away fans are normally in the West Stand, so the relevant seated prices are Adults £21 advance / £22 matchday, Concessions £18 / £19, 18–21 £14 / £15, 12–17 £5 / £6, Under-12 £1 / £3. Advance sales end 24 hours before kick-off. ([1]) ([8])

Tickets

* Chester's 2025/26 admission prices show that the East and West Stands are priced at:

  * Adults: £21 advance / £22 matchday
  * Concessions: £18 / £19
  * 18–21: £14 / £15
  * 12–17: £5 / £6
  * Under-12: £1 / £3. ([8])
* Chester's matchday info says away supporters tend to be housed in the West Stand (South corner), which is why those seated prices are the relevant ones here. ([1])
* Advance prices end 24 hours before kick-off, so with this being an early Saturday game it is worth sorting tickets before setting off. ([8])
* Chester also say supporters can enter using printed/digital tickets, cash at the ticket office, or contactless at the turnstile. ([1])

Parking & getting in

* Important for this fixture: Chester have put out a specific parking notice for the King's Lynn game saying that, because a strong attendance is expected and part of the usual area is unavailable, all parking at the Deva Stadium will be strictly ticket only. ([7])
* A limited number of car park passes are available at £5, and they must be bought in advance. Chester say there will be no facility to pay on arrival. ([7])
* Blue badge holders are still accommodated as normal, with 18 blue badge bays available on a first come, first served basis. ([7])
* Once the stadium car park is full, Chester say street parking is available in the surrounding area, but supporters should follow restrictions and avoid private business car parks unless they have permission. ([7])
* Chester's general visiting-fans page still says the stadium usually has a £5 car park, but the fixture-specific notice for this match is the one to follow. ([6]) ([7])

Pubs & food

Because of the early kick-off, this is more about what is open early enough than which pub is "best".

* Town Crier is probably the best straightforward shout if you want a proper breakfast and a pint in central Chester. Their own site says they are open from 9:00am, with food served from 9:00am, and they are right by Chester station. ([3]) ([9])
* Station Tap is the earliest useful option I found. It is at Chester station, opens from 6:00am, and the venue's linked listings say breakfast starts from 7:00am. ([4]) ([5])
* Cosy Club Chester is another breakfast/brunch option in the city, opening from 9:00am on Saturdays. ([10])
* The Blues Bar is at the ground itself, but Chester specifically say away fans should check with the club whether they are admitted, because it can change depending on the fixture. ([6])

Food-first verdict

* Best for coach fans: probably Town Crier if the coach gets in with enough time and you want a quick breakfast-and-pint type stop.
* Earliest option of all: Station Tap.
* Best no-risk option: eat on the way or en route, because with a 12:30 kick-off there may not be loads of relaxed city-centre time once you arrive. (That last bit is my judgement.)

For drivers

* Ground: Deva Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester, CH1 4LT. ([2])
* Parking at the ground for this game: £5, advance pass only, no pay on arrival. ([7])
* Fallback: surrounding street parking is available, but be sensible and respectful because the club have specifically asked fans not to block neighbours or use private business car parks without permission. ([7])

Train/public transport note

* Chester's visiting-fans guide says Chester railway station is 2.5 miles from the ground. ([6])
* They also say the 10A bus runs from the City Centre Bus Exchange, after which it is about a 0.5-mile walk up Bumpers Lane to the stadium. ([6])
* So if anyone is making their own way by train, it is workable — but it is not a "station next door to the ground" type of away. ([6])

Simple matchday flow

1. Coach fans: if time allows, aim for Town Crier or Station Tap for breakfast rather than banking on a traditional pre-match pub. ([3]) ([4]) ([5])
2. Drivers: sort your £5 parking pass in advance if you want the stadium car park. ([7])
3. Buy your ticket in advance if you can, because advance prices end 24 hours before kick-off. ([8])
4. Head for turnstile 7 in the West Stand away section. ([1])
5. If you are hoping to use The Blues Bar, check first whether away fans are being let in for this fixture. ([6])

Best options at a glance

* Best early pub/food option: Town Crier.
* Earliest breakfast option: Station Tap.
* Best for drivers: pre-book the £5 ground parking.
* Biggest thing to know: this is not a normal "pay when you arrive" parking game. ([7])
