KLFC Women 2 Norwich City Ladies Reserves 3
The KLFC Women took on there Norfolk rivals in there sixth pre-season game yesterday. With Norwich playing one League above the Linnets girls the game was going to be a good test. In an end to end to the game Lynn went one down early only to quickly reply through a well worked move. Lynn had numerous chances to take the lead before half time hitting the crossbar twice but couldn't show the killing instinct in front of goal.
Into the second half Norwich went 2-1 up through a long ball which should of been cleared. Again Lynn applied the pressure and pulled level through a header off a corner. With Lynn unable to clear their lines Norwich had a corner in injury time which again should of been cleared by the Linnets but a Norwich forward converted the loose ball. A draw would probably of been a fair result but the young Linnets would of got a great deal from the experience of playing against such quality opposition. Goal scorers: Tiff Forshaw & Chloe Burch.
The game was the last for Alice Coyne who captained the team on the night. Alice now goes on to join her new team mates at Chelsea. On behalf of King's Lynn Community Football and Kings Lynn FC we wish her every success in the future.
