Only Tommy could get goals out of Gold, the other 9 outfielders did a lot of position swapping and created alot of overloads to get him time and space

Josh Barrett didn't want to stay and didn't fit in anymore. Nor was he fit or consistent

Al's analysis didn't quite make sense.  He recognised that P'bro' had two forwards who were "mobile and quick", then said the opponents played the game at a slower pace than we would want. Good job they did!  He should pick a team that is as quick and mobile as possible himself because it beats a stodgy defensive team 9 games out of 10...

I think he meant after they were ahead, they slowed it down

I'd still like to know what Joe's actual intention is, or what he has to gain from King's Lynn. Any ideas?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Widdrington( :hide:) got goals out of Gold by having a team that would stretch the opposition in the final third. I recall Scott providing width, Denton pushing up and making underlapping runs from the left center back spot
Clunan Widd Jr ( :hide:)and Hargreaves were all incredibly fit, mobile and had good chemistry, Clunan I recall helping overload the right with Jones, and then Barrett playing a free role. Based on what I saw (only a part timer) these overloads allowed Gold more time and space.
Only seen one game this season  (Leamington home) and it was all very direct. Whilst Gold performed all right that day, it didn't result in him getting many chances.
