We could do with a Gashy type up top. Or even the man himself

No disrespects, but I glad to see that Gold has moved on. Lacks commitment and desire. Not reliable and not up to it, if he does not fancy it. A bit of a tart....
And I have played at a decent standard, as a defender down here in London.
Plus we will save a few quid.

Gash 139 appearances 40 goals a goal every 3.4 games  Gold 99 appearances 35 goals a goal every 2.8 games. Food for thought..

Comparing apples and oranges.  Gash brought so much more than just looking at goal stats, his hold up play and being able to bring others into the game was outstanding added to a wealth of experience that helped those around him.  Gold is very good at a few things (finding space in the 6 yard box and defensive headers) but to get the best out of him you have to set your side up to play a very certain way hence why he looked really good for a spell under TW but average at best for large parts of his time at the Walks.

Given where the squad is this is probably a good move for all parties if it allows IC to bring in another experienced forward for the remainder of the season, if it is just a way of reducing the playing budget then we really are expecting miracles from IC.

A more realistic comparison would be Gash v Defty rather than Gold?
