Walks In The Sunshine

Hi all

Just an observation that there seems to be a distinct lack of activity on this forum, where once upon a time it was very lively with good debate.

When I say lack of activity, I notice there are still a lot of views......why doesn't anyone post anymore!!

I have never been prolific in making lots of posts, but other posters seem to have disappeared

OK - H/T vs Hednesford - Leach and Scott on for Clunan and Tunniclffe.... Just sayin'!!!....

Also coincides with the most regular poster coming off here and posting his words of wisdom on Facebook!

It would seem that censorship has much to answer for. It was ok to criticise Cleeve on here during his tenure. In fact it was encouraged but now under different stewardship then that is not permitted.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

And that says everything you need to know about this site.

There has been no censorship on this site for some months!
You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone

In fairness hardly anyone left now to censor.

Maybe forums have had their day.🤷♂️  Seems far more activity on the Clubs supporters facebook.

Yes, that Facebook page seems the go-to place for all things anti - club and general negativity now

Carly Simon

Personally, I find this forum a much more enjoyable read these days. For too long certain posters used it as a stick to beat the club at every opportunity. Generally, it seems a lot more balanced now  :scarf:

Geppetto

Mal you must have less to post these days as according to your history you have averaged 2 posts a day whilst a forum member, whilst your old friend B and G also averaged 2 posts a day. I think its less censorship than you suggest rather the inability to post often spurious and unfounded posts without moderation. Maybe forums have had their day but they certainly should be for all fans to discuss all matters Club rather than a few who seem to have  a complete other agenda.

The lack of posts....  Is it ME?  Are punters fed up with what they see as my arrogance simply because I can see what's going on on the pitch better than Managers who are merely full up with cliches like "Character" or formations that are only relevant on Subbuteo boards where the players can't move out of position until getting a flick up the slats by a finger? Is it ME?!....  And can we please see Leach and Scott in the starting line-up vs Chorley please?  Pretty please....!!!

Mallard

Puppet master. I wouldn't say it was down to less to post about but more lack of real interest.

At least with Cleeve we were dealing with someone in plain sight.  Jo must be due to make his annual visit sometime soon to have a check on his investment.?

Spoke to a couple of fans at the Scarborough game who used to be regular posters on here, said they stopped a few years ago when this forum basically became a 2 person forum who, it was felt, were the only ones allowed an opinion (even though it was mostly negative).

Geppetto

Thanks Andy that in one post sums up what has happened to this forum, people who disagreed with the two posters in question were through various methods discouraged from posting and eventually lost interest. The poster who has now switched to Facebook apparently blocks anybody who disagrees with his opinion so nothing has changed. Question everything but only if the answer suits. Would love to know their agenda but it certainly doesn't look like its hoping the Club are successful. Every Club deals with the same supporter issues with results and finance but people who only look on the negative have no understanding of running a football Club and rather than assist they criticise. Easy way out.
