One key thing that I feel has been missed under the current Chairman's reign is the importance of a few local lads in the squad, that the Lynn faithful can relate to as one of their own.......looking back at times when there was a greater sense of community within the club, there was always at least one or two....Richard Johnston,Keith Rudd,Freddie Easthall, Mark Howard,Kevin Ready,Clive Adams, Neil Fryatt etc etc. Developing some local players through the academy and getting them playing in the eleven not only builds the link to the town, it also puts a few hundred on the gate. It's why it such a shame when local talent is missed or not nurtured and the likes of Sports or Corby or much bigger fish (Aldershot, Luton etc ) benefit.
