That was a hell of a scap  I mean game didn’t go myself not feeling well a bit disappointed with the number there but on a wet night the F A can’t mean much to our supporters

Just had a listen to AL’s post match interview.   He was suggesting that crowd last night was under declared as indeed was Saturdays.

I guess a win is a win but it does seem we are struggling to score goals at the moment but we are tight at that back
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Yes it was an FA Cup 466 crowd. Worksop were dangerous on the breakaway but the defence was impressive last night it has to be said Wilson, Taylor and Jones all very good and cleared any aerial threat. Johnson was brilliant again - where does he get his energy from - would like to see more of Hughes who as usual was very inventive but possibly doen't fit into AL defensive mindset at the moment.

Maybe we will see a lot of these close games until Margetts gets back

Our manager said in the post match chat, that sometimes you have to win ugly, well apart from the first game it all been ugly. The only football being played is from players like Hughes, who doesn't seem to fit. Much more and my season will be over, not impressed, and have not been for weeks. Anybody else agree?

he needs to have a word with his boss and get it clarified and come back to the fans about it

Totally Mac
Under pressure now with no Margetts but no been enjoyable
Barnes doesn't impress Crane twists himself in knots and then gives the ball away
Early days for Williams, lets hope he turns out ok
Defensive set up too. 2 goals in the last 6 games , hardly pulling in the punters

for such a defensive set up Jones is being called into action far too often.Any lesser keeper and we would have lost even more games and be out of the cup

Excellent result for Lynn, thought we deserved it over the two matches. For a neutral they were both excellent games. Worksop are a good side and will progress if they continue as they are.

For Lynn to be successful we need Gold to start finding the net again.  It would seem AL has the back line sorted and made us difficult to score against.  Now he needs to hit on something at the other end.

As for Jones making saves, surely that’s what he is there for, when called upon.  Think AL in his interview last night was basically saying the team was work in progress.  So think we should wait till the 2nd of the season to see performers move up a level.

I do wonder if the likes of Barnes and Crane are going to prove a little lightweight for the NLN.

We have to take into account we were three big players out injured last night.   On the subject of injuries is the young lad we got in from Fakenham ( Finn Whitely) still
Out injured or has he been shipped out on loan.   Also the lad Oke, who was still on contract but not wanted?

of course thats what jones is there for i was just saying that such a defensive line up wouldn't look so good if it wasn't for the quality of jones and we may rely on him too much and if we had any lesser keeper our defensive record wouldn't look so good.

With Margetts injured, Lynn seem to have gone back to just one forward in the starting eleven.
Hopefully Williams and Gold can develop a good on field relationship, so that at least when at home we can look to be more attacking.
