Fletcher has been sent out on " long term loan " to Stamford, he will train with Lynn full time still, but appears to be surplus to requirements at this moment in time. There was a lot said about Fletcher on his return to the walks, but does not appear to be in James Rowes planning for the team at this present moment. Good luck Fletcher across the border in Lincolnshire and hopefully we will see a local lad back at the Walks, in the future leading our frontline.

Fletcher possibly going out on loan was mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago so not really too much of a surprise although, I thought Setch may have snapped him up if a loan deal was on the cards.

Fletcher was a Bal signing, not one of JR's and it's understandable if one doesn't see what the other one does in players.

Fletcher is definitely one for the future and nice to have him on our books.

Stamford is a step higher than Corby, so it makes sense to have him there rather than back at Corby.

As I stated on loan, definitely a step up from Corby and hopefully experience will be gained in Fletchers development into a future player for our first team.

Surely Toll has to be a better option in the squad than Gold.  Least Toll looks like he's interested.  Don't get what a Manager like Rowe sees in a Gold.  Didn't think he would fit his MO at all.  Still Rowe seems to fancy him
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, Gold was on contract and also on the original retained list. This was I believe released before the new gaffer arrived, yes he could send Gold out on loan if desired, but someone has to be interested in taking him on loan. Fletcher is young and on a lot less money than Gold, so therefore easier to find a loan placement, where he can be tested and gain invaluable experience.

Ok I'll correct you.  Gold was not on the retained list he was re-signed.  Anyway when Rowe came into the building there were others who he has since moved on, presumably because he didn't fancy them.  Gold being still here suggests he has a role to play with the new Manager.

Or maybe he re-signed when Gashy was in the frame for the Managers job before JR was appointed.  :dontknow:

There's a reason for everything.

If Gold was signed pre Rowe joining then that's another one chalked up to Bal.  it was very complicated times back then.  Cleeve wanted to keep Lakeland then Gash came into the scene before a big change of thought saw Rowe became the man.

I don't think many would have objected if Gashy had been selected. Just my opinion, but at the time I would think Gashy would have been the supporters favourite for the job, and would have been a very popular choice.

Will be interesting to see how many places above Sports we finish.

With respect to them, but I can't see Sports getting near the play offs, where it must be a given that we will with all the money being thrown at it again.

So the answer is probably "several".

I'm confused 😕

Toll has apparently been seen as "the one who got away" and that everything will be wonderful if we could only tempt him back home.

And now we finally achieve the return of the prodigal son, the first thing JR does is ship him out on loan 😏

I must be missing something, so please clear this up for me guys 😺

Fletcher wasn't a JR signing. You can only think that he doesn't rate him quite as high as Bal does. Maybe there was a little bit of PR that went into it as well. As you say he was "the one that got away", so people were obviously going to be happy with it.

Nothing wrong with any of that. Just different people having different opinions, which is usually ok.
