I'm confused 😕

Toll has apparently been seen as "the one who got away" and that everything will be wonderful if we could only tempt him back home.

And now we finally achieve the return of the prodigal son, the first thing JR does is ship him out on loan 😏

I must be missing something, so please clear this up for me guys 😺

Mainly talked up by people who have never seen him play.

I think he'll score goals at this level but he's still very much work in progress. Good move to step 3 Stamford for him, if he score goals at that level and with him still training with Lynn full time I wouldn't be surprised to see him back with us playing at some point during the season.

Like all things in Football it's subjective and people have their  own opinions.  We have Adam Marriott back.  Whe he left he was the ultimate fox in the box at this level.  Since he left things haven't quite been the same.  Can he deliver back at this level with a few more years on Clock? 🤷‍♂️

As for Toll he produced right through from Step 7,6,5 and last season step 4.  Can he do it at Step 2?  On loan at Step 3 if he scores goals then I would suggest he will be back with us PDQ. If not then he might be more of a slow burn.

I remember hearing Setch say he expected him to leave Corby and play much higher. I would suggest Setch knows a player, when he sees one.

Be interesting if we go 4-3-3 who will be the 3 up top? Maybe Marriott with pace either side of him?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Thanks for your thoughts on this guys 🙂

It appears that he's not oven-ready and we hoped he'd be further along than he actually is, if I'm reading this right. So we send him off to gain valuable experience and he will return to us cooked and ready to rumble 😺

But could it also be that if we've got him, no one else can have him ?

Rob Hughes? James Jepson? Henry Eze?

Will he play against us in the upcoming friendly? :dontknow:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Its not a competitive game so yes I expect he will. Question is though, will he ever play for us. Would have thought we would have seen him in home colours during pre season. Wonder what JR's reasons are for not doing so. Hope he does well at Stamford and we eventually get to see him.

:scarf: I was just thinking what this must be doing to young Fletcher's head, what must he be feeling. Rejected once by his home town team , given a second bight at the cherry, or so he thought, but it appears deemed surplus to requirements again, without kicking a ball in a competitive match again. :scarf:
