Good to see Backie nipping this story or rather non story in the bud. Good to see a. Club representative posting.

If what Vera says is true and it's SC feeding this false info what on earth is Bal doing giving him a position with the new Club ? Madness

It's not a new club.....

Point taken Paul.  New regime
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about ?

Nipping it in the bud? mmmm where has that come from? we shall see.....

kenny r

If it is SC stirring the mire, as is strongly suspected by me and others, then he has got a brass neck talking about other peoples past.

What a joker he is.   :nilpoints:  :red card:  :banghead;

Veratis

Also Mal I think you will find if you read all the previous information that is out there that Cleeve hasnt been given a position in the new ownership but being allowed to pursue a commercial initiative himself that he had been developing. This may or may not happen who knows with Cleeve but I hear that he is a seriously bitter about his demise and blaming everyone but himself.

Before to much speculation is cast over the post I can honestly say SC is not behind the post , I heard the info from a good source...  maybe he will , maybe he won't leave we shall wait and see ..
it's a forum to discuss ... like many a thread on here some come to a headline some dont .. time will tell .... until then  :scarf:

Why wouldn't there be a club without Cleeve?

That's what some were also saying about the Chapman's (a bit before your time methinks).

Neither statements are true.

In fact some were saying right from the start that this is how it would all end with Stephen Cleeve. Of course they were shot down by those who don't care what's going to happen in the future. All some have ever cared about is another 90 minutes of somebody else subsidising their Saturday afternoon football.

That's until the next financial disaster occurs.

I think you will find the Club wasn't in debt when he took over.

And of course recently, the money he was spending belonged to TSI.

Then of course there was the DCMS loan of £450,000 (I think).

OK, I'll go along with you with regards to the previous Chairman.

Thanks Stephen!  Thanks a lot!

Think when SC came onboard and said he wanted Football League at King's Lynn was the start of things to come, or rather not come.  Everytime he came out with the latest big earner or idea that was going to put KL on the map, he dug the hole a little deeper.

He did get lucky with Cully though. Or was he just unlucky with Clark, Hughes etc. He was lucky he had the likes of Backie to bail him out and keep things rolling, on the field.

And of course, Cully came back due to Backie, and dispite Cleeve (or so the story goes).

Well, he was always going to do that. Sure fire bet on that one!

Why would Bal want him around at all? Officially or unofficially, directly connected to the Club or otherwise? What will he bring to the Club? More importantly, what damage could be done to the Club?

Even the new shareholding Trust have said they won't part with any money while he's still involved.

I think it's fair to say that many do wonder why Bal is keeping him on. Has he still got some kind of hold over them?
