Scarborough had a bit more experience and were more 'streetwise' than we were. We need to remember that we're a largely young side that unfortunately will have days like today where we're just not on the ball. Still plenty of matches to be played and we've got a young, talented squad that can cause all sorts of problems for teams.

I do feel that the club needs to get the manager situation sorted and I fee l that with a young squad like ours it needs an experienced manager to come in and get the best out of them. Joe is a great lad and is looking after the ship the best he can but he has no one in the dugout who he can turn to. An experienced manager will have us in the play-offs by the end of the season in my view 

Such a shame it has ended like this as James Rowe is easily one of the best managers at this level and it shows with the style of football we've been playing. Unfortunately, without saying too much, Rowe has now made himself unemployable in football and has truly spat in the face of a club that was prepared to give him a fresh start after his not guilty verdict.

Anyway, we must move on and get behind the players this Saturday at Royston in the FA Cup. Not a million miles away so let's all make the effort and end the week on a positive note   

Well I have to say that has to go down as one of, if not, the worst referee I've seen at the Walks in a very long time. Gyasi in the first half had a stonewall penalty not given, and the Kiddy players were almost assaulting some of the Lynn players but hardly blew up for a free kick, yet when the Kiddy players went down as if they'd been shot he was happily blowing away at his whistle. I do think that some refs, when they know they're going to be centre of attention, play up to the crowd and this chap was no different.

As for the game, I thought we were far and away the better side, Kiddy, however, go up the other end and score their only chance of the game, as seems to be the recurring theme at the Walks this season. Kiddy, to their credit, defended well and at times played up to the ref knowing that they would get the decision.

Onto Alfreton on Saturday to put things right. Hopefully they'll be a good following from us up there seeing as its not a million miles away 

Not seen a thread about this but glad to see the club are putting a coach on for next week's trip to Hereford.

From what I've been told there will be a coach going to every Saturday away match this season. I'll be jumping on as much as I can!

Are we really going to compare this football club to a team in Peterborough that can barely get 200 people through the door as an example of how to compete in this league? We should be looking up, not looking down.

I could write a long post about my thoughts and feelings but I'm just too disillusioned at this point to even bother.

I don't know where this club is going, the way its run is a joke, and with a deal seemingly almost complete Cleeve comes in and kamikaze's it and says "Thanks but I've found some money in the biscuit tin and all is well now". Others may wish to breathe a sigh of relief but I for one will continue to be fearful about this club's long-term future.

This club means a lot to me as I'm sure it does to many others but I hate what is being done to it. Oh well, we'll see what next season has in store

Reading all the responses on here is very interesting and nothing shows how fickle supporters can be. About 6 weeks ago many were complaining about AL and his style of football, notwithstanding the improvements he has made, now supporters are singing his praises and hoping he stays. Took the words out of my mouth Blueboy! I've been rather baffled since some of this has come out as to the responses of certain individuals on the various forums to do with the club. None more so at the prospect of becoming part-time again. It was generally the consensus that the club doesn't warrant full-time status given its current state, and yet when the manager comes out and says that being part-time next season is possible, those same people are shocked at the prospect of being part-time again.

Just seems to be a thing at this football club that no matter what we'll all have a moan. Some on here may even get their wish and see this football club back in the UCL playing Wisbech and Deeping Rangers - back home in time for tea

It really is time for Cleeve to hand over the reins of this football club over to someone else or a group of interested parties while he can still leave amicably.

I and many others appreciate what he has done for this football club and gave it a refreshing boost (at least on the pitch) and has got this club to where it should be in terms of where we play in the pyramid (I know a few of you will disagree but ultimately if you're getting 900-1,000 most weeks you should be at step 2).

However, off the pitch, the club is at best inadequate and at worst a total shambles. There is a real gulf between the club and its supporters and of the local community in general. There are many clubs in non-league who have seen crowds greatly improve because of their initiatives to engage with exisiting supporters and the community as a whole. You only have to visit the likes of South Shields, Chorley and Spennymoor to name a few in our league who have invested a lot of time to really engage with their town and surrounding areas to drum up support for their respective clubs and they are enjoying very healthy crowds of over 1,400 a week (over 2,500 in the case of South Shields) and I cannot see why we cannot achieve regular crowds of 1,400-1,500 a week.

The individual who is holding this club back is Stephen Cleeve, and until he goes this club will not move forward. If he were to sell up now or in the near future, he can leave the club I think with the best wishes of most for what he has done on the pitch and he should be welcomed, if he ever comes to matches, as someone who is purely supporting the club like all of us do. The longer he holds on to the club or messes people like Joe about, I can see things turning as nasty as they did last season when the majority at Boston chanted for Cleeve to "Get out of our club".

Here's hoping that change is coming in the near future 

Can't really afford any slip ups now, which is going to be a tough ask considering we now have home matches against Chorley, Scunthorpe and Chester. You'd like to think we at least get two more wins from Farsley and Needham Market but we never seem to do things the easy way against those down the bottom.

The town needs to get behind the boys now, starting on Saturday against Chorley 

Just imagine where we would be if we didn't play this rather dull style of football? We could very easily be occupying a top 3 position and that's not impossible with the majority of this squad that we have as they have shown on a few occasions what they're capable of. A few tweaks over the summer and a general change in philosophy by the manager and I have no doubt next season we will be up there. In my opinion I think it has been another poor league where if any team had something about them they would be walking away with it by now.

Oh well, let's just see the season out and see where we end up. I'll carry on turning up and supporting the club through thick and thin

As I said in my thread, it wasn't as well advertised compared to the Oxford City match. Disappointing really but considering Champions League was on last night it probably meant a few not turning up like they usually do

Another tough one tonight with the current league leaders coming to town. Play like we did at their place back in December and we should get something out of this. Be nice to see a gate of over a 1,000 tonight taking up the offer of a £3 discount on adult and concessions tickets if bought by midnight last night. I don't think that has been as well advertised as the £5 admission offer against Oxford City in my view but we shall see.

Going for a 2-1 win but I'll happily take a point. COYL 

Dreadful first half, second half was better albeit with AL making some rather odd subs at the break.

I've resigned myself to the fact that we're not making the play-offs now. Shame really after such a promising start. Still, I'll happily take this than being at the wrong end of the table.

Let's just enjoy what we can of the rest of the season and where we end up is where we end up - not going down, almost definitely not going up
