For me it was the tale of two goalkeepers.

We beat a very good Darlington side who played the Ref like a violin , but we fought back thanks to Tom Hughes and the brilliant Ross Crane who was my man of the match ,I personally thought the team played better when they Subbed Gold

A welcome three points. It had all the makings of a one goal match and as usual we seemed to make hard work of it.

Gold looked completely disinterested... for a change. He needs to be told that he has to earn his starting place. Always arrived too late and avoided most tackles.

And before anyone mentions the 20 odd goals, I'm more than willing to be proved wrong.

The highlight for me was Coulson picking up lumps of grass and hammering them back into the pitch

I mentioned a while ago on a different thread that the lure of fulltime football was the main attraction for Gold after failing with Fylde and Kidderminster and I don't blame him whatsoever.

Gold worked hard in the first 45, playing up top on his own with no 10 in support.   2nd half he looked very much like he was towing a trailer, so no surprise when he got hooked.

For me the stand out Lynn player was Wilson.   Looks very much like another Adam Crowther. The lad wide right ( Barnes ?) didn’t do much for me.  Worked hard but ran down a lot of blind alley’s.  Darlo had the best of the opening 25/30 mins then we got back into it and half time came to quickly.   Not sure I could see a winner coming in the 2nd half until a defender and keeper made a real c0ck -up allowing Crane to pick their pocket and score into an empty net.

Have to say the attendance of 870 was a big surprise when you factor in Darlo must have brought 150/200.

Just reading the Prog from yesterday.  Few little titbits.
New Commercial person  joins next Month from an EFL club.  Hopefully this one will stick around and do a decent job.  It’s no surprise that we seem to burn though people in this job.  I wonder why ?

Also a new supporters Club is being formed.  Is Malc Hill involved this time ? 

SC is doing well on Ground advertising/Sponsoship but is disappointed with match day sponsors

Trouble at The Walks last Tuesday night during the penalty shoot out.  I wonder if that was the reason we had a big security and Police presence for the game yesterday?    Another FA hearing  and fine heading our way ?

SC in his column seemed very happy with the outcome of the out of court settlement that Aldershot are coughing up.  Words saying they will think twice before doing that again.   Hope it was money well spent for The Shots as they got pasted 5-2 yesterday and sit in a lowly 17th place

Shots forum hinting that sum was approaching six figures and being taken out of Tommy's playing budget? No smoke without fire so could explain why supporters call for much needed new signings is not being answered.

Sounds as if it was nothing more than handbags, but Lynn needs to be so careful due to previous incidents.

Great news. Let's hope so. It needs to be independent, not have officials appointed by the Club. That way it should provide the opportunity for supporters to be appointed due to their ability and willingness instead of other reasons. We always used to have fantastic supporters Clubs, but that has never been seen since the Club was reformed.

Awful crowd considering we've been getting 1,000+ most weeks. I can't help but feel that there'll be some who have been put off with the £19 (slightly more for sitting) admission prices, considering our brand of football isn't exactly easy on the eye at the minute

I'm within the category that has stopped paying the inflated concessionary
admission price and i do believe there are more than a few long term supporters of a similar age who have either ceased attending games or who are now very selective in their choice of games they attend. Mr Cleeve does not appear to be concerned at this loss, who by definition are unlikely to be around in the medium / long term. His focus seems very much on attracting customers who will pay regardless and buy into his
opaque business model, with the end justifying the means.

His club (unfortunately) so his prerogative.

if its true that Aldershot are paying a 6 figure fee for taking TW away from us maybe we will see the floorboards in the stand repaired soon

Not sure why the crowd was a surprise. A disappointment maybe........but Lynn fans always come out to watch a winning side...... previous two home league games were defeats....to Sports and Curzon

Take out the away fans and it’s a home gate of circa 700 Pink.  I thought those days were behind us with crowds to date averaging 4 figures.  That’s a huge drop. Hence why I used the word ‘surprise, cos you know what ?  It did surprise me 😂

Mallard regarding the forming off a new supporters club it’s about time we had one and no Iam not involved.We need younger supporters involved not 80 year olds

Malc don’t sell yourself short.  You have plenty to offer the organisation.  With age comes experience and knowledge of how these things need to run.  I would suggest you have plenty to bring to the party.  Plus also you can oversee the transfer of funds from the old to the new.  Least that will give the organisation a hefty kick start.
