Quote from: Backie9 on December 05, 2025, 08:27:44 PMI am happy giving my time up to do anything the club wants me too with me also being disabled I try my best.

Hi Backie, thank you for all that you do behind the scenes. You don't seem to be appreciated by some people, but I know that your life and soul are within the club. On a day of "legends" in the ground today, you're a legend too for all that you've done and all that you do.

I ask you only one thing. Could you please stop using the word "disabled" and use an alternative word or phrase ? As soon as you say that word these days people just write you off or assume you're a scrounger.

As one who has experienced this for years now, I find another word brings less judgement.

Quote from: peter on November 22, 2025, 08:50:58 AMDid "Joe" actually put money in? Or was he a Ghost Investor?

With all due respect...does it even matter?

Again with respect, but of course it does. A very important point.

The Club is legally required to know who the investor is and where they obtained the money from. ie to ensure it came from a legitimate source (Money laundering regulations). There's plenty of reports out there (which have been posted previously) about where lower league clubs have been used for money laundering, especially by criminal gangs operation in the cryptocurrency game (some people refer to it as Bitcoin, but that's just one provider of Crypto).

It should also be declared how the money is "invested" in the club. e.g. Sponsorship later claimed to be a loan could be a source of illegal activity, as could money given to an individual but a company that's owned by the business is paying it back. Another one is where goods are given in lieu of being charged for sponsorship but the goods not finding their way to the business. These are probably  the first thing any investigation would look at.

There's loads more that has to be considered by any business when investing or sponsorship is involved. These are just three examples but I guess football clubs have to more vigilant than most other business's because they are in the public eye all the time.

It must be a nightmare when people are trying to give you money but you don't know if you are legally allowed to take it.

So yes, it is important and does matter.

I accept all that you say and, in hindsight, I worded it poorly. A better way to express my thoughts would be that whether ghost or not, it doesn't make any difference to where the club is right now at this minute in time.

We have the owner we have, the manager and staff we have and the players we have and we must make the best of what we currently have because we have little influence over any of it.

But we may just have to agree to differ.

As for whether I "would want him back ?" I would agree that he never left in the first place, but just learned how to keep quiet. Which is quite some achievement for him. No offence.

It's great news, but isn't it a bit sad that they only get to pose with one scarf between three ?

And for the partially sighted...it's a KLFC scarf 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not sure whether that's a good omen or not, but it amused me. Clearly Cully and Bazza aren't the only classics on show at The Walks.

I'm going for a 3-1 win for us and a gate of 875, only because it is a Tuesday night and various firework events are going on in the area. But I hope for more.

Quote from: Windy Linnet on November 02, 2025, 10:54:35 AMCulverhouse is going to need a bit of money to save us this year. Forget the playoffs .he'll need a bit of money to do that just like any other manager will.I cant understand what all the faffing about with the Trust money is and why they just cant give it to the club in a time of need and sort the shares out later on.If its going to be a relationship built on trust whats the problem. If the members asked for a vote for the money to be moved over straight away I' sure it would go in favour of the money going there now and not when its too late.Just get on with it!

Still on the wind up, Windy ?

Ok, let's pretend you're being serious for five seconds.

It won't happen because:

1/ The money wouldn't keep the club in bog rolls for a week.

2/ No one with any sense would hand money over without the corresponding shares.

3/ With my serious face on---pretty sure it's also against the constitution of the Trust without an EGM.

4/ Loads of other reasons that I'm sure other people will think of.

Plus I know who you are, my friend 😺 And you've just gone 🐠🐟🐠🐟🐟🐠 🎣

Quote from: Grissles Oleary on November 01, 2025, 10:15:06 PMI have been informed that as in previous years the club will open the ground for Fawkes in the Walks.Hard standing and refreshments, and a roof if it rains. :scarf:  :scarf:

That's good to hear Gris. My poor old bones and discomfort in large crowds makes the ground a great place to hide and still watch the fireworks 🎇🎇🎇

Hopefully there will be food and drink available as usual, as a hot drink warms the cockles of my heart... amongst other places...

Do you know whether we will still be able to sit in the stand this year ?

I'm excited too !!!

Welcome back Ian.

I never lost faith in you, unlike a lot of others, some of whom are suspiciously quiet...

If you and your sidekick can't mend Lynn, then I doubt anyone else can.

No pressure !

But also a big thank you to Joe for stepping up to the plate.

It's all a learning curve and I'm sure you will have a future as a manager at this level.

And there's no guarantee that we would have won the matches you were manager for. So keep your head high.

Exciting times my friends. Bring it on.

Quote from: Strongbow on October 28, 2025, 12:13:51 PMThe last month at the club has been nothing short of a shambles. After the JR debacle the club needed to get a grip of the situation, but I'm afraid they have not. Joe should have been appointed on an interim/caretaker basis until a permanent appointment was made, but it looked like he was on a trial basis with weekly reviews, if he did well no doubt he would have been appointed, but a difficult run of games didn't help him. And then we have had the leak of various different names coming out, from whom I do not know, saying who the next manager would be.Either someone is trying to massage their ego or impress their friends. This is not village football people's careers and livelyhood could fail on these leaks. Hopefully a new manager is named soon, but leadership needs to be shown at the top.

Well said Strongbow. I couldn't have put it better myself.

Quote from: Veratis on October 27, 2025, 09:51:56 AMI havent seen any comment from Cleeve himself saying he is still the owner and based on his track record would have though he would be shouting it to the press.

I spoke to Mr Cleeve at a match a few weeks ago. I thanked him for all he has done and shook his hand.

I also asked him to leave with dignity.

He said he has dignity which is why he wasn't responding to any of it, and that all the things being said on social media were lies and "fake news".

But I do wonder if he has been "gagged" by Bal/Jo/TSI as he was once before.

To his credit he managed it for a while, but suddenly started his famous four-page programme rants and hit out on media and social media.

Is keeping quiet a price he has to pay for continued involvement in the club, in whatever capacity ?

Quote from: Dazzarugby65 on October 25, 2025, 09:11:36 PMI'm not a regular at the walks these days, various reasons for this, but I'm not sure who is running the club or what direction those who are running it are heading. We really had lot's of optimism only 6 weeks ago, however this has all dwindled as will the crowds. We are still fed snippets about the club, if Cleeve is still involved then nothing has changed, if he isn't, well it's definitely not improved.
The young man who they've entrusted to lead the club is definitely not a manager at the level the club play at. Credit to Joe he took the role on but what have we to show , one win at lower league opposition in the Cup, and a draw in the league, obviously out of his depth, not knocking him just stating my opinion. We really do need a proven manager who has a contact list a club of our side could tap into. We as KLTFC fans deserve more, but I'm sure there are better times ahead.
If something doesn't change very soon and we don't start picking up points we are definitely in for a long winter. :oldman"  :farmer:

Absolutely agree with your assessment. Spot on.

"We also had that infamous table which promised so much but delivered bugger all!"

Could that be why Mr Cleeve won't leave ? 😒

He understands that he can't live under the table anymore as he has defaulted on the repayments for his cloak of invisibility 🫣 and can now be seen clearly by everyone 😯

He now wants to take said infamous table with him so he can put it on eBay and get some much needed cashflow for his Bentley 🚜 ⛽

But he can't get anyone to help him get it out of the door 😭

Poor Mr Cleeve 😉

Got an axe anyone...🪓🪓🪓
