It was grim to watch.

A team devoid of ideas, low on confidence, it really wasn't good - and, it was against Oxford City, not a Fylde, or South Shields, or Kidderminster, but Oxford City.

I was thinking to myself, walking away from the game, that I don't think we feel much of an affinity with this team - a connection between fans and players.
 I think back to recent times, when we had Gash, Aaron Jones, Frazer Blake Tracey, Henderson - there seemed to be a two way connection.

That's no slur on the current crop - it's just they don't seem to be around long enough to build a bond.

That chump who threw the drink at the keeper too - hopefully he receives a ban from the ground because as others have said, we're on thin ice with the FA as it is, a points deduction could prove catastrophic.

997 was the attendance and it was announced earlier than usual as the lady who provides the information is moving to pastures new - that's what we were told!!

This season started so promisingly too.......

Shows how much I know - I thought he was still at Aldershot!!

It was a really entertaining match and I'm sure most of the 1500 of us who turned up enjoyed it!!

I thought it was going to be one of those matches where we didn't take our chances (early on) and it would bite us on the backside, but in the second half, we were reeally good.

The free kick for the equaliser was as good a goal you will see anywhere

And, while I'm not a huge fan of Gold, I think when he came on, his presence certainly gave Peterorough something to think about, as up to that point, their number25(??) had pretty much bullied Sealey.

Didn't realise until yesterday that Sports' manager was Phil Brown of Hull City fame!!

I stood behind Culverhouse in the dugout for the second half last night and what I really loved was the emotion he was showing.

In his interviews he comes across as very level headed and very matter of fact.

But last night he demonstrated real passion at the decisions against us and his celebration when the second went in, almost gave me goosebumps.

He seems to just "get" us and I'm made up he's back at the helm......time will tell how successful he will be

On a side note, does anyone actually know why the home and away dugouts have been switched (it's bugging me!!)

I think a 3-1 win and an attendance of 1200

I don't always do midweek games - I live and work 40 plus miles away from Lynn these days - but this is one match I need to attend to support the players and new management team

Can't wait!!
(Which means we'll probably lose 1-0 in the 95th minute and an attendance of 900    )

Disappointed Nyahwema has departed - he was an exciting player and a game changer on his day.

And, just to echo the thoughts of others - I think it is a concerning time at The Walks

The season started so well, with so much promise, an exciting squad, a decent manager, off field affairs seemed in hand.........and now at the end of October, a mass of uncertainty

Frustrating.

Make no mistake, Fylde are a good team, their play, their use of the ball, their game management - they are a good team.

But I think in the first half we showed them too much respect.

Second half, when we had a go at them - partly due to the managers changes - we looked decent.

It has to be hard for the manager, if he's been told he's on a week to week basis.
For example, he wins a match, he must feel safe (for a week) he loses one, as in today and he must fear that he is no longer manager
How can he operate like that??

How can he fully put 100% into this week with two games coming up, knowing that his position is fragile??

In any walk of life, if an employee doesn't think their job is secure, they will do their job, but they won't be 100% into it.
I think Bal needs to stick or twist with this situation - either give it to him fully or get a new manager in.

The start of this season showed a lot of promise -  a good (albeit flawed) manager, exciting signings, exciting performances, decent results.....and now look where we are - we could be in a relegation scrap by the end of the Radcliffe result (depending on other results obviously)

I think the team is 'there' it has a good basis, but watching today, I'm still not sure what Clunan brings to the party.
He, again, got MOTM, but it's only because he is busy - agreed he got the goal, but other than that, he moves around the pitch, pointing at this, pointing at that, as skipper he needs to drive this team forward, he's one of the more experienced players and needs to help the youngsters.

My other gripe with the players is Gold - he is anything but that.
For me, he is stealing a living, he has ability, but his application is dire

Adam Marriott needs more game time and will certainly put a shift in - more than Gold does.

I accept losing - losing, as well as winning, is part of football.
If all players walk off that pitch, soaked in sweat and have given their all, but just got beat by a better team - thats football.
What I cannot accept is a half hearted effort - that bolis my p!ss

So two games coming up within a week......we need points

Surely there's more to being a Manager than just being able to put a potentially  good squad together and potentially get some decent results?

My comment of "ridiculous" was that it seems to sum up the luck this club has!!

We all mostly agree the football was good, the signings were good and to have it taken away is ridiculous(luck)

That's ridiculous.

I've been excited at the start of this season, we're playing good football, we have the basis of a good team.......and now this.

We can all speculate what the "non football" reasons are, but it's ridiculous.

Of course the new person we appoint could be an improvement.....but they could also be a lot worse

He's a decent player, but not the 'Frank Lampard' he thinks he is........I remember having a chat with Chris Henderson once while he was at Lynn and I asked him about Clunan and he was very complimentary about him, not so much as a player, but as a skipper and how he was good for the lads off the pitch.

Every manager has always made Clunan the captain, so they must see something in him.......but I don't know what he's pointing at either!!

As for the match - great win and great response after Chorley.

Merthyr's late arrival meant I had to miss the second half as I had commitments (looking after my children while my partner went to work) but what I did see, we looked very good.

As for Rowe, where I was standing in the first half he was very animated towards Merthyrs number two, effing and jeffing at him for a good period, so whether that contributed in his sending off??

I think he's a talented manager and I'm certainly enjoying watching us this season, but his interviews after matches come across as a bit baffling and always commenting on the officials.

Maybe he's too emotional and needs longer to process the match rather than have a microphone in his face within an hour of the final whistle??

Anyway, it's still a decent start to the season - Chorley away is always tricky - lets move on and hopefully get our first home win of the season on Saturday vs Merthyr
