General Discussion / Trust Xmas Raffle
December 28, 2025, 12:06:34 PM
Just read the post regarding the Trusts annual Xmas raffle results. What a great effort by the Trust and all those that supported the raffle through sponsorship or buying tickets. A big increase in ticket sales over last year. All of the money will help the Trust to support the Club moving forward and with everyone supporting the Club financially irrelevant of the amount it will make it more like a community Club rather than funded by one individual.
Something that can only be good for the Club in the long run and a good New Years resolution without fans there is no Club but we all need to do our bit.

Without adding pressure the next two games could be important and a good opportunity to collect points against teams below us in the league table currently 17th and 22nd. In the last two seasons the total points needed to avoid relegation has been 40 points and Blyth Spartans getting relegated with 50 points so the quicker that level of points is achieved the better.
Of course nobody should be taken lightly whatever there current league position but hopefully 6 points gained over the holiday period will allow us to look forward in 2026.
I'm sure like all fans we wish the team and management all the best for Xmas and the New Year and a big crowd on Boxing Day to really get behind them.

Totally agree with what Tony has said and anybody that had attended the fans forum or listened in would have heard Culverhouse say that he accepted the current squad situation and would work with it ( some in some out ) that's what he is paid to do. I cant recollect him reaching out to the owners for an increase in the playing budget unless people have seen this quoted elsewhere and it seems more like that this is an assumption.
With regard to Gyasi anybody looking at the Kidderminster website will see that so far under his loan spell he has not played a single minute. Some loans work out and some don't.
Anyway with the players now getting a ten day break injuries can mend and energy levels can be restored so more players will be ready for the rest of the season.

It seems to me with regard to the playing budget ( of which I have no knowledge of how much it is ) that the Club are trying hard to remain within that budget by being smart with loaned players in and out. Also some loans are for fixed periods and a player cannot always be recalled at short notice, this is the nature of loans.
I know some fans would like to see the Club make lots of new signings but it is important that attention is paid to the financial aspect as I thought we wanted a Club that is sustainable in the future.
Of course if someone wanted to sponsor a new players wages for the remainder of the season the Club would be delighted along with the fanbase.

With regard to Gyasi the issue is personal to the player and it would be inappropriate to discuss this publicly on a forum. No conspiracy just respecting the player. Obviously everyone would agree the lad got off to a great start and there is no doubt he is a player but things happen in life besides football.
At the forum last week I think what Ian was saying is that we are currently a full time Club and to ask a currently part time player to come in he would need to go full time to fit in. If the lads got a decent full time job why would he give it up to take a chance on football unless the money offered was exceptional.

I think the main issue here is the constant implied criticism of people who are volunteering there own time unpaid to organize such events for the football community of the Club such as past players etc.
Its extremely demoralizing when you've gone to a lot of effort and made endless phone calls to pull this off when someone knick picks suggesting that other people should also have been involved.
Club volunteers are a rare and valuable thing today and should be encouraged as without them the Club will not prosper in the future.
Rather than make suggestions on how to improve or expand an event please offer your time and support next time, it will gratefully accepted.

B and G I have noticed in several of your posts you quote how the Trust should be operating under their rules, in particular yesterday you talked about how the Trust members would need to vote on appointing a
a director to the Club.
Could you please read the rules( available on this website ) before making incorrect quotes. The Trust adopted new updated rules in 2022 which you would be wise to refer to prior to making inaccurate quotes about legally binding Trust rules.

Colin as you probably know the main stand is mostly made of timber ( built in 1956 ) parts of the flooring in one section of the stand in particular need replacing. Whilst the stand is covered with the direction of the wind rain gets in and problems occur.

Player/director ?? Care to enlighten us Mal.

My understanding is that Trust members receive information first with regard to Trust business before its made public. If Peter is a Trust member he will be kept upto date automatically.

When the ref turned up the pitch was playable and at 2.00pm there was 15 minutes of torrential rain. The ref took another look and water was collecting and pooling especially in front of the main stand. With the forecast of more rain the ref decided the pitch would not be safe to play on. You cant control the weather and nobody would have wanted the game to go ahead more than the Club.

The difference between Cleeve and new owners is blindingly obvious. No new owners no Club. The new owners have been covering the huge shortfall since January 2024 and without there financial support we would not have a Club and if we did it certainly would not be at this level.
Whilst some might be ok with the Club maybe in administration and then playing in the UCL again others may finally say enough is enough with Kings Lynn Football Club and get another team to support on a Saturday.
At the moment we have an owner who is prepared to try and take the Club forward even with half million owed to the DCMS on top of whatever other problems they have inherited.
Be grateful for what you've got you will certainly miss it if its gone unless of course you've got a spare million to invest in a football Club.

Hi Peter im sure a lot of people are interested in what capacity " Cleeve is still here ". Do you mean he is still the owner of the Club, attends games or is alive and well ? Clarification would be welcome.

Reading this forum you would think that everything relating to the Club is a disaster and made worse by people who want to spread misinformation and paint the picture black.
There is also an unhealthy obsession with Cleeve and a desperate attempt to convince people he still owns the Club based on the fact that is what companies house states at the moment. What if the share transaction has taken place and these records are just not upto date. Perhaps there should be some caution in boldly proclaiming Cleeve is still the owner.
I havent seen any comment from Cleeve himself saying he is still the owner and based on his track record would have though he would be shouting it to the press.
Why some people look to discredit the Club as fans we should remember that its better to have a Club than not and it will only succeed with everyone going in the same direction.
Good luck to the lads tomorrow night they deserve a result.
