General Discussion / Re: Season Tickets

Free pints and shirt?? It would be nice to know the players before committing buying a season ticket. Bit like buying a ticket for a concert without knowing who is performing?

Tuesday's fixtures will be interesting to follow. It would be good to see Hereford beat Oxford and Buxton to win at Alfreton.

A good place for a new ground would be the field next to the circus at Knights Hill.

General Discussion / Buxton
February 24, 2026, 10:28:56 PM
Well that was a treat to watch and a good antidote after last Saturday. First half not too spectacular and Buxton put under the cosh at the beginning of the second half hitting the post and having a goal disallowed. The first goal certainly livened the game up and after my positive comment about Bondo on Saturday he had another great game. One criticism was that we didn't do very well with the set pieces of which we had several. Thought IC did well with the substitutions and Lynn managed the game very well after we took the lead. A great three points.

Sandringham saga, sinkhole, sprinkler! I always thought Norfolk was a quiet county. For anyone who is interested
there is a local football team to follow and support this evening!

The problem yesterday was conceding goals. A total capitulation in the second half. After the last game IC
said they needed to find a way of winning on a boggy pitch; now they need a way of performing well on an artificial pitch. IC accepted the blame for selecting the wrong team. What did he mean? Surely, Tuesday night will be the same players. Definite case of men v boys yesterday. Macclesfield are a part time team who train twice a week! once since their Fa cup game last Monday. The "men" in the Lynn team didn't perform that well; for our youngsters I thought that Bondo did well.
Nice set up at Macclesfield; youth team? match before the Lynn game and children also having a game as well.

A lovely day for a game of football!
Time for a change in ground location?

A decent day out in Greater Manchester. Great touch and composure for the goal. The ref should have had his book out for a few Radcliffe players after their antics to delay Clunans spot kick.
Impressed with the defensive play, particularly calm and self assured
Festus and Tom Wilson but all put in a great shift. Credit to Radcliffe as well; friendly people and a nice ground.  Good to be able to watch that other little Greater Manchester game in their clubroom.
Travelled there from Derbyshire using a Manchester Wayfarer ticket £11.50 for unlimited train and tram travel. Admission to match £10. Overall a value for money day out.

Just be reading that Chorley are opening their club on Christmas Day for anyone who wants some company. A great gesture from a community club!

Looking forward to the next three home fixtures; Chester, Macclesfield and Peterborough Sports and continuation of the recent great form. Interesting to see that Oxford City are calling their next home game a "festive fixture" with Santa, face painting and reindeer trails. ( There's an idea for a community club). COYL!

Would have kept the ticket for the rearranged game which is likely to be on a Tuesday evening in December
but didn't fancy this prospect.

The players looked very lively in the warm up and the first twenty minutes but then looked worn out. Is the intensity of full time energetic training too much for them;particularly the more " senior" players?
